Subject: Bungie, I'm going to miss you guys.

For the past 20 years, Bungie and its employees have been the best game developers I have ever known. You guys made made the Halo franchise what it was, and it won't be the same without you. It almost makes me want to cry... Yeah, I know I'm a sissy, but the Bungie developers need a round of applause. These guys have been amazing to us, and we should treat them with the same respect. So with this, Bungie, I bid you farewell. Thank you for being the best game developers in the history of gaming.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

They're only leaving Halo. They're still going to make games.

But still, the combination of Bungie and Microsoft was perfect.

I'd say the combination of Bungie and Halo was perfect.

Lol. I would disagree. I think Bungie's creativity and stretching room was squashed by Microsoft over the years. Halo 1 was perfect because it was made entirely by Bungie before Microsoft put super amounts of constraints on them, then it all sort of started to go downhill from there. Not to say that I didn't enjoy the other Halo games, but I feel like Microsoft was horrendously looming over Bungie. Not an ideal combination.

Why else do you think they left?

A hero need not speak. When he is gone, the world will speak for him.

I was just going to start a farewell thread of my own but I'll add mine here. To all the people of Bungie I want to start by saying that you have improved my quality of life by giving me some of the most exciting moments of my childhood and teenage years. As I'm about to enter college, one of the main things I'm looking forward to comforting me during this time of change is the fact that there are still Halo's coming out in the future. This makes me feel like some things will always be there for me. The sad thing is I know it's going to be a bit of a heart breaker not seeing your logo pop up at the start with a grand choral theme in the background to signify that this is a quality game from the people I've grown to love. I've formed an image of all of you in my mind as fun-loving and caring people and I know it's true. I've watched vid-docs and listened to many podcasts and have grown attached to the personalities that represent Bungie as a whole. I promise I will stay with you to give your new game a chance however Halo will always be your golden child to me and I have adopted it. I remember back in the Halo 3 era when my first account Legends Believe got hacked by my own mistake and the only thing I could think about was not the achievements lost, not the fact that there was a credit card attached to the account (my dad's, oops), but only that I had lost thousands of hours and 10's of thousands of kills on Halo 3. Obviously as far as my experience on Xbox is concerned, you guys and your beloved franchise are my main lifeline. As I played the Bungie playlist today I experienced all of the usual Halo: Reach matchmaking phenomena; terrible teammates, maps I dislike, rage quitting teammates, etc. I got off about midday and decided I was done. You'd think with these things I wouldn't come back to this game, however on the contrary I am addicted to those magical moments that still happen. I would like to thank you for each and every spectacular moment I have gone through. Every Summer spent in the heat playing and every cold winter playing until I couldn't feel my hands. I'd like to thank you for everything. Today I played for you guys.
