It really has been one hell of time with Bungie on Halo. I got Xbox Live Jan. 1st, 2008. The first game I played online was Halo 3 and it was amazing. I've had a lot of good times and a lot of fun memories with a lot of memorable people. I've met the craziest people, had crazy fun and met many great new friends. It's always been my favorite game over everything. I've had the best of times with friends and even some randoms. I've had so many good times, I'll always remember that were so long ago, but feel like just yesterday.. I miss the good ole days, they were best. The random custom infection games full of people you don't even know and the old ranking system that pushed me to get better, if it wasn't for that, I would probably suck. I remember getting my first perfection which then, meant a lot to me considering I was only 13 or so then. I miss the katana and I remember when I finally earned my recon which seemed so long ago. Now recon is nothing special like it used to be. I'm just saying, it doesn't get better than what it used to be, but it's been truly memorable. I don't know about you, but I loved every second of it. Sadly, I didn't get to play against Bungie this year or in 2009, but I still had a blast both times. Bungie Day 2011 was great and it was one to remember. I'll miss the summers of Halo, through the 4th of July to Bungie Day itself. I'm going to really miss it all.. This may be pretty cheesey, but I just felt I should thank Bungie for such an incredible experience and I speak for everyone when I say I'm going to dearly miss them.. But as times go on, I'm looking forward to many more good times over the horizon and I hope 343 carries on this great legacy. Thanks for everything Bungie, it's been a hell of time...

I prefer fighting honorably, those are the best of matches,
But if I cant trust a team to fight back with the same sense I have, I show no mercy.
Its basically like this, if you beleive you are better then me, then face me fairly.

Which is why people who follow this type of sense hate MLG pros because "Pros" whore power weapons like crazy, which brings to the table, if you beleive you are so good, and you play for money, use a DMR and out-skill me, not outgun me.

I missed live on halo 2 as well but Halo CE got me through that and halo 3 was epic and rech was a good stop to the 10 years of ass kicking and i had a great time and will continue to do so.

I wacked your wall of text whith my smaller one.

My favorite memory of Halo has to be the giant LAN battles in Halo CE.

To think, that was 10 years ago.

Actually, I find that I'm more invincible without pants, which is why I am not wearing any at the moment.

To many to count, but one that comes to mind is when me and a friend were playing Halo 3 for the first time on Legendary. We were on the Sparks battle at the end and my friend had died. Being the last one, I ran to Johnson to swap the shotgun I had for his laser. Johnson takes my shotgun, says "Give him hell" loads the gun and shoots me point blank, killing me. Strangest thing to happen to me in a campaign, ha ha...

One of my favorite memories of the Halo series was when I used to play custom games on Halo 3. So many good gametypes we played...I remember playing Sharks and Minnows, Smear the Qu*er, Fat Kid, Omega Journey(or something like that where you had to knock down the barriers in the hallways before you could pass, while at the same time being chased by a fat kid and possible infected people), Monster Trucks, Cops and Robbers, Jenga Tower, Sky Castle, Halo on Halo, Duck Hunt, Ghost busters, Ice Cream Man, Bull Run, Clog on Toilet, Trash Compactor, Hurricane Katrina, etc..O, how the memories go by so fast. I wish I could relive the days that I could no scope someone and save it as a film just to brag to other people(lol).
Ahh, how those days truly were special to me. Besides Guitar Hero II and III, Halo 3 was my only game. I have actually played 5500+ custom games and I am proud to say that I remember every one.
Bungie, you did very well the past 10 years(I'll take your word on the 20). May you live to be a prosperous gaming company that continues to make games for the community to enjoy. You have always had your best intentions for your fans and I hope you continue to hold on to that tradition.
As for me, I will keep you forever in my heart. As a testament, I shall put my poster pack posters all across my room walls in college next year, and hopefully if I ever receive my bag o' swag, will cherish it like a mother cherishes her children.
Well, the long journey has ended, but as Sergeant Johnson famously said in the end of the saga:

Send me out with a bang.

Stop being a lazy ass and stop trolling through the forums, play video games!

Every day was a good memory playing the Halo franchise. I've been playing since I was.... 4/5.

All the LAN parties, all the modding I did with Halo PC, playing with my friends on custom maps in Halo PC, late nights with Halo 2.. Good times.

Three events specifically come to mind. As you all weren't there it's hardly worth the extended story for all three. I'll give you the summation.

Halo 3: Kleggnutt, Baron AJ, Theroix and myself. MLG Team oddball (On the playlist). We went 90-0 up, we went 249-212 down. We won with plenty of hero moments to spare! :D Game file here

Halo 3: Series of 3 clan matches with OMG v VLU (Now disbanded, i believe). We were outmatched by superior opponents (or so VLU would have told you) but we pulled together and kicked ass with some epic team play. Game two was a 101- 67 victory I personally went +16 with 18 laser kills :D That was just so much fun.

The third memory? A weekend gaming on Halo Reach with The guys here. Halo, ring of fire, epic noobery and 18 xbox 360's set up in a room for the weekend make for some great times.

Cheers Bungle, despite many fails recently you've give us all some great fun over the years ;)

RIP Halo 2

Mine was definitely something long before any of the choices you gave in the poll.

Probably playing AOTCR so many times. One of my favorite memories from that level was this great moment where my friend was shot out of a banshee, the elite was laughing at his dead body, and then the banshee fell out of the sky and crushed the elite.

My favorite memories of multiplayer have to do with the countless games of halo 2 on live. And the custom games were just great. I remember so many times playing Lockout with 16 people with BR and Snipe starts with an unlimited score and no time limit. Just playing for hours on end.

In my opinion, Halo 2's era was the best time of online gaming.

My best Halo memory was when me and a group of friends would play Halo 2 until the wee hours of the morning. Ordering pizza, cursing each others moms, the occasional teabag for good measure, nothing will ever top that in my mind. Thanks Bungie.

Yeah, I screwed up on the poll. I didn't even mean to do a poll.

Best Halo memory is the first time I went off that huge warthog jump in The Maw. Explosions going on all over the place, racing against time, and it all came down to that one jump. It was epic.

I always loved playing Halo: CE with my whole family. Best times ever.

My favorite Halo memory, or memories in this case, were from all of the awesome online games I played in Halo 2.

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

I have a feeling my best halo memory hasn't happened yet...
Since there is a new trilogy of books, its safe to say there will be a new trilogy of games. Sadly i was not apart of Halo 2 live, but i have played halo for 4 years and just thinking we have at least 7 more years of halo (4 next year, 5 three years later then 6 so on..) Its pretty crazy. Just think playing Halo 6 and the squeakers will have no idea who Bungie is... terrible thought... Thanks for the memories Bungie! 343 has some massive shoes to fill, size 77 of course...
