No.

Been a bungie fan since ONI, and have played damn near everything they put out save pathways, gnop, and that tank game.

I know that while their fidelity has climbed and dropped over the years, it has always been of a higher standard than most other developers have.

You can feel the love in a Bungie game. That's what I'm really looking forward to next. Another deep, beautifully crafted universe by the people that never failed to deliver one.

Dear Bungie,

Through waves of never ending covenant, to the ancient beings, to the one thing that held them back; the one thing that started it all. Each game tells a tale one thousand fold that of any novel. Each one so in depth, poetic to say the least. From storming the beach, to viewing the world from the Arbiters eye. The only words I can stutter, as I witness your departure, are a measly "Thank You." From the day the seed was planted in the ground, to now. The tree has grown. 343 is still a sapling, but with your light, with YOUR support, they can grow. Although I'll leave you, onto newer ventures, I will always be here in spirit. Your gripping storyline, enthralling and touching music, and beautiful graphics and gameplay were all years ahead of their time. I could never leave that. I'd slash other games, but while I contemplate, I realize no other game is worthy of anything even close to that of comparison. I've blamed Stosh for every damn thing in my life since I first crossed this website.
After my nine years on Halo, the numerous grade markdowns due to lack of homework completion, the epic battles on Beaver Creek, Coagulation, Guardian, and Sword Base, and the Chiefs epic one liners, what can I possibly say. I've shed a tear or two, felt my heart race, and spent countless nights pwning noobs in matchmaking. I've never had more fun smashing by -BLAM!- on someone's face. For the future, good luck. For the past, thank you. It's been one hell of a ride, and I'm happy you let me come along for it...we all are. Truly, thank you Bungie. With any luck, we'll see you starside as well.

(This sounds a lot better if you have Never Forget playing in the backround.[Thanks Martin])

That was a amazing speech. Well I will see you starside my friend.

I feel like its a goodbye but in reality its not. Its almost like Bungie is going of to camp for a while and we, the parents, are just waiting for them to return. By all means, you can trust that you left Halo in very good hands, but we all can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the coming years. Good luck, god speed.

I am honoured to play your games, Bungie, and I wish all of you the very best luck in your future. Whether from within, or without.

This is my first post, and probably my only post on the Bungie.net forums. But I had to vocalize what I felt.

You are, by far, my favourite studio, and Halo is the first game I loved beyond all others in playing. It created a universe I didn't fall into, not at first. But when I got my toes wet, I jumped full into the deep end.
It was the first game, and game series, where I absorbed all the materials. No other, save one, holds such a place to me. I may not be the most voracious player, nor the most skilled. But I know, that I truly love Bungie, and the universe you've created, more than anyone else I know.
My collection pales in comparison to many others, yet each piece is a point of personal pride (Despite a case or two of "Needs Work" and "See Me" worksmanship)

Indeed, I do have regrets. I regret not being able to have participated in massive ARGs like ILB and Iris, only being able to imagine, and dream (Breaking character during Ivan? Once-in-a-lifetime). I regret ripping off the "Fight The Flood" design for a school project. I mourn that I will never be able to see the Halo 2 or 3 teaser for the first time again. But mostly, I have love, undying, and unwavering.

Love for you, Bungie, and the universe you've created, and allowed us to play in. And this, I swear to you, on my family's honour: if I ever make it to the moon, your Seventh Column, your Holy Septagon, will adorn the surface of that heavenly body. You will have a photo not unlike that most beautifully famous Earthrise. I have made very few solemn promises, and this joins a most exclusive group.

With Endless Love and Respect:

John Cotterell.

Even though I may not have been able to get my hands on one of those swag bags, I still thank you guys for that great 20 years of gaming. I'm not done with your guys' games yet either. I will continue to support you guys through all ages of gaming. Happy 20th anniversary guys. See you starside as well.

Bungie thanks for The Great Journey, you will be missed from halo 1 to reach. Your games brought our family together. Remember the times we had to bring up 2 extra TVs for some epic system link battles. the unreplaceable music from all of the series is comforting with your breathtaking backgrounds, making the worst days much better. Growing up with you around the age of 15 to now which is 23. thanks for the positive and unforgettable memories, and one could only hope when you guys take over the world it will be a much better place.

well, I can't really say how hard this has hit me, I literally shut off all sounds around me after reading that and just pondered, staring into my palms, thinking, questioning, hoping, believing. What's next? How long? all these questions circling my head, but one thing was clear, I don't know what will happen, but I'm sticking by. It's been one hell of a decade...2, really. and it's really a hard pill to swallow, but at the same time the feeling of wonder that came over me was indescribable. I almost shouted. this is one of the most exciting times for me gaming wise, that moment you go dark, I will stay, I will listen. I will keep focused, I swear, I will visit every day. post at least once.I'm going to tally every day you stay dark and post the number when the lights come on again... This is incredible, Hats off to you, Bungie. hope you make something even better then Halo. See you soon, Bungie. and Non Facete Nobis Calcitrare Vestrvm PerinÆvn.

I gotta say this has been the most captivating experience i have ever witnessed and it truly is an experience gaming just doesn't describe halo anymore. Halo seems to have evolved beyond any other game with an amazing community and equally amazing creators running the show the whole way.

See you starside Bungie I'm glad we finally finished the fight I can't wait for your next project and remain a die hard halo fan to the end.

"Peace, gentlemen...
Peace is the ultimate goal of the Traxus Project.
Peace not in our time but in the future.
Future generations will benefit from the work begun here today.
Gentlemen, I give you the Traxus Project"

I don't suppose by "Ancient engines" that might be referring to the likes of Jason Jones and others from similarly ancient times, perhaps? I would take it as a good sign, for me at least, and a welcome one at that. Personally, I find this whole transitional juncture rather....unnerving to say the least, for a number of reasons I'll not be enumerating here.
