Resist or Serve

Myth and Myth II were the not the first video games I ever played, but they were the first two I owned. Because of you, Bungie, I fell in love with gaming, with Halo, and with your other series'. Because of you I grew up with the LAN parties where I met some of my closest friends, and because of you I am pursuing my career as an independent game developer.

In short, you have been an enormous influence on my life and others, I am certain. I thank you for everything you have given us and we will wait, impatiently, as long as it takes to be inspired by your next masterpiece.

You need good D?! ya, well so do I.

Well now that the old bungie is gone can the new 343 studios tell us what was the original MAC game like. What was done, and what was not done. The data has got to be somewhere. Maybe you guys can make a disc like "The document of Metal Gear solid 2". It would be a hell of an extra for the upcoming remake of halo 1.

  • 07.09.2011 8:45 PM PDT

Thanks for changing my stance on gaming forever.I will stand by Bungie and Halo until the end.Sad to see you guys leave but it is time for you guys to move on to something bigger and better and work on it for as long as you have to.

Dear Bungie,

Halo 2 was the second FPS I had ever played in my life. And it was the first video game where I understood and loved the story. And no, the gamers who played won't ever regret this game coming to earth or blowing up their raggaty-ass fleet. I loved Halo 3 when it came out and fell in love with forge right away. We won't regret that it followed us home. Halo ODST was a great story of some of the troops who were just that: normal troops. It was one hell of a game. And Halo Reach.... what can I say? It was a masterpiece that can't be topped. Don't worry Bungie, you'll never die, you'll just be missing in action. Whatever you guys choose to do next, I'm sure we'll love it.

See you starside,
RC Tyc0

PS. For a brick you flew pretty good.

Silent are your lips, silenced are your thoughts, silence where you stood.

Well bungie, i'm not going anywhere, so thanks for the heads up, but you're stuck with me.

thanks for everything Bungie, for the brilliant story of the halo universe that ive been with since the start, with its unique story and memorable characters, with every book and game ive dedicated my time to, even a hellova lot of the merchandise, halo has been one of my fondest memories, from running through the blood soaked decks of the pillar of autumn to the crumbling streets of old Mombassa, from ring-world to installation, its been one hell of a journey, the characters that will live on forever in our hearts and minds. and thanks to halo i got into the whole online gaming scene and made a few really good friends because of it. i had thought halo was finished after the climactic ending of halo 3, and that bungie would bid farewell afterwards, which made me shed a tear for the end of a story and its makers, but we still had four more years of bungie and halo afterwards, which are also fond memories.
bungie i thank you for your undying support to halo and its community, for the games and all their support, for the halo community that has become what it is today through the plethora of machinima, such as rooster teeth and their greatest creation,RvB,Jon cjg's Arby n The Chief, and thousands more, halopedia, the vast bank of halo knowledge that ive spent countless hours on, the website itself, this one, the forums, the stats checker and the wonderful community, thank you bungie, thank you for everything <3

see you starside

I have been a fan of Halo since Combat Evolved, and love to have a good time playing multiplayer. message my gamertag if you want to play a game or need help with an achievement, and I'd be happy to help.

Bungie,
I have played your games since the first Halo. It was your game that made me want to buy an Xbox 360. It was your universe that held me enthralled as I played for hours on hours, playing through the campaigns, the multiplayers, firefights, custom games, forges. Searching for every possible way to play through a level, or working towards the Legendary achievements. Getting together in a lobby with friends and playing grifball or monster trucks.
To me Halo is more than just a game. It is the epitome of a generation of games. No other game developer has put so much energy into a game, and it shows in every aspect of yours.
To me, Halo is a fun time, an epic story, a universe waiting to unfold before your eyes, with you taking command.
But without Bungie, there would be no Halo. I came to Bungie.net to check my stats, expecting an experience similar to any other game sight. Instead, I was greeted by a community, and the greatest of any other game I have played to date, and likely the greatest of any I ever will. I signed up, bookmarked the site, and made it a habit to check in. With you guys and gals at Bungie, I have become part of the game itself, not just another stranger on the internet. Halo is the only game in which I actually talk to others online, all because you at Bungie care enough to have created an amazing experience for all. Not only do you strive for perfection across every game played, make a tool that the community can use to make the game their own, and constantly monitor it all at the same time, but you involve yourselves in charity, too. When I saw the wrist bands you were selling to help support Japan after the earthquake, I knew that there would never be an equal to Bungie.
You guys rock, and I honestly love you for all that you do. Halo will not be the same without you.
Thank you for everything that you do

Don't let Halo go, remember to never forget. I've been a fan since i was four when the game was first introduced to me by my cousin. This caused my parents to buy the game and an Xbox (which i still have, with all my data from Halo 1,2) for me that Christmas. Now, 10 years later, it is hard to see the makers of the series I grew up with playing go. I truly wish they would stay, but fully understand why they cannot. I will always have a passion for Halo and will keep it alive, but it will not be the same without Bungie at the helm.

To Bungie: Bungie, keep impressing your fans and making things for Halo throughout the next 10 years while you create your next game. Make a promise to me, to all your fans, that you will not forget Halo and the universe you created.
Don't let this be the end, make it a new beginning.

It has been a absolute amazing 20 years with you guys. This Bungie Day was one of the best. We will be here as always but in the future who knows, maybe we might be a part of your new universe as well. See you star side guys. Thanks for everything.

You go that way, I'll go home!

What a great read.

Thank you Bungie.

Getting stuck in boulders
Accidently sticking allies
Using the Rocket for Spring cleaning

Total Boss

Man tears, man tears everywhere.

See you soon. Just make sure you guys come back guns blazing. Or at least with more steak.

  • 07.10.2011 3:29 AM PDT

Seriously awesome, I just can't believe you're letting go of Halo. The game that changed first person shooters, and raised the bar. But still hope we have a rematch next year.
