Great games. Great stories. Great Universe.

Bungie started this 10 years ago. I can't imagine what they can do now.

  • 07.08.2011 11:40 AM PDT

Sad to see you guys sign off on the Halo franchise here soon, I've had a ton of great memories in my eight years of being a fan. However, at least you guys aren't going to disappear entirely.

Wake Me When You Need Me

You splattered a dumb cat

Now I know why they pay you to write words good. ;)

That was deep, man. Amazingly written that I got chills reading that last paragraph. Loved playing on Bungie Day 2011! :-D

"A hero need not speak; when they're gone, the world will speak for them."

I think you guys have all but proved your own message over the past decade. It's been real, Bungie. Halo and Bungie have been in my life for the better part of ten years; it's helped shape me, who I am, and what I know. I first got Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2004. I guess you could say that, when it came to video games, that was my awakening. I had never played a game quite like it. From that moment, I was hooked. Pretty soon Halo 2 was out and that's where memories were truly forged. From my countless playthroughs of the campaign to my 4 year addiction to split screen multiplayer with a few friends, to my first ever experience with any game on Xbox Live, you guys have been responsible for a lot of my fondest memories. Getting to finish the fight in 2007 was one of the greatest moments of my life, and Reach? Well lets just say I think Reach is the greatest gift you guys ever could have given us. Not once have you ever let us down Bungie, and we salute you for that. You needn't thank us, we should be thanking you. Not just for the years of great gaming - but for the entire experience. Everything you have done for us over the past decade. Life just wouldn't be the same if not for a little developer called Bungie and their little game called Halo. So as you move on to great things, and leave us here with the magic you created, we wish you all the best, and to paraphrase a great man - wake us, when you need us. Thanks for everything you've given us, truly. All the best in the future, and I hope to indeed some day, see you starside. Good luck guys, and goodbye, but I know it's not forever. See you when you wake up. We <3 you.

James.

Life is like a clogged toilet. It's full of crap until you do something about it.

I don't speak Karate!

Thank you bungie for making halo. It's the best game ever made , It haves something special ... something that call of duty don't have. You need a brain to be good at halo :)

Even it's sad , i'm pretty sure that your next universe will be fantastic. Kill this world of warcraft! :P

Godspeed , bungie.

  • 07.08.2011 11:44 AM PDT

You've no idea how sad this all is to me.
Actually, many of you probably do.
I'll be here Bungie. Waiting eagerly.
I can only hope that I don't grow out of the habit of checking the front page- so that I may see the good news when it does, after months or years, arrive.

Why Bungie? Why did you go and ruin it?

What ever you are making next, make sure it doesn't suck as much as Reach please.

Tied it up! Dammmmn straight!!!

Thanks for 2o years of fun and I'm looking toward the stars for that binding light that will tether us back together.

"A mans true maturity should be based on how he acts when his identity is a secret."
Halo Reach is how a Halo should be. Simple, Fun, and Awesome. See you online.

Brought a tear to my eye. Thanks for the many years of video gaming I enjoyed oh so much Bungie. Until next time.

I just want to add my thanks along with everyone else's here. I have not been on the forums for the whole ride, but I have been going strong for quite some time, and will be waiting as patiently as I possibly can for the first signs of your new endeavor. I know it has been said over and over, but Thank You very much Bungie, you brought me BACK to gaming. I had not played anything on a regular basis until I got my hands on Halo: CE many months after it had come out, but ever since I have been a loyal fan and follower, and will be for many years to come. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. Thanks for the memories, the games, and the good times!!

See you star side!!

It's better to be judged by twelve, than to be carried by six.

Bungie,

Thanks to you for all the good times and memories. I'm sad to see you go, but excited for what the future might bring. I won't be going anywhere and I'll endure the coming darkness. See you starside. Long live Bungie and the 7th Column.

  • 07.08.2011 11:52 AM PDT

Thanks so much Bungie.

You ennobled all of us....and you shall not be forgotten.

I salute to you.

ISU Cyclones!

The only way you could've made that any better Urk is if you coded the page to play some of Marty's music as we read.

For now you venture into the howling dark. And we will await your triumphant return.

Here's lookin' at you kid.

It's difficult to assess on a broad scale the impact Halo has had on my life. I have played so many games over the years, played so many people over the years, been a part of something bigger. I have to admit that there is a certain melancholy associated with thinking about the possibility of a Halo universe without you guys in it, but that feeling quickly fades when I realize I'll be able to see you guys in nearly every aspect of the game.

In truth, there was optimism in your post Urk - it made me feel confident that Bungie has great plans for the future. If the goals they set forth for themselves are truly obtained and the plans to make something better than they have ever made come to fruition then we are all truly in for another decade of GREATNESS.

While I share in your optimism Urk, I am still a little bummed, you know? Like that buddy that moves away when you're young? It's a weird feeling.

I think the best way for me to sum up the last decade of playing with all you guys and gals would be: THAT WAS -blam!- AWESOME!

Thank you Bungie.
