My heart sank when I read that. Anyways, thanks for the most amazing Bungie Day I have ever experienced. I never got to play with you guys, but hey, I still had a good time.

  • 07.08.2011 11:58 AM PDT

I've been following you guys since ONI. I fell in love when I played Halo: Combat Evolved.

But most of all, I really felt our relationship develop when you went on Xbox LIVE. It's been so long.

I was so young 10 years ago. Now, to see kids that are starting to play this stuff the same age I was, it's pretty cool to say "Hmm. You know, you aren't doing it right, kid. Time your shots. Halo's all about making every shot count. Here. Let me show you."

Like some sensei that is all knowing teaching a kid in the art of battle.

Halo has been THAT powerful. To hear that you are going to move on to something new is wonderful. I can't wait to see what next big thing you guys are planning on doing.

But believe you me, I'm still a Spartan by heart, and I am still going to be playing the future Halo games.

By the way, I loved that you put hints bits and pieces of campaign levels from the previous Halo games in the Reach campaign. It felt like I was having flashbacks.

When I play the upcoming Halo games. I will always know. That it all started. With you.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for making the First Person Shooter a console thing. Thank you for getting me interested in shooters. Thank you for connecting me with people all over the world for the sake of competition for the first time.

Thank you, Bungie.

Yikes, sappiness and reminiscing set aside, twenty years can only be chapter one of the tale for you folks. As curious as ever to see what is up the studio's sleeves with this brand new project.

Congratulations to the whole team for all of the accomplishments spawned upon the gaming industry thus far. Big thanks for the hours of entertainment and, of course, many more to come.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Reading the weekly updates the past couple months, the comments made during the past two weeks, and finally this... it's all been giving me the feeling of I'm losing my best friend. I'm really going to miss you guys and all the awesomeness that you've provided over the years.

I wish you all the best with current and future projects and can't wait to see what comes next.

I tried to find the Bungie's 20th shirt on the XBL Marketplace but I couldn't find it. Is it in the Halo/Halo Reach game collection or what?

The background picture with the Aerospace slogan makes me really excited for Bungie's new IP. Sci-Fi series based in space are my favorite.

Thank you Bungie for everything you have done for me in the past years. It started out as playing a game, then turned into finding one hell of an amazing community. I will enjoy playing your new game for many years to come just as halo has done for me. See you starside.

I think I may cry. Hold me.

i played Bungie Day for 24 hours straight and never met Bungie. However, it was still an adrenaline rush everytime i got matched up with players and that is the pure greatness of Bungie day. and i still had the time of my life celebrating Bungie's 20th anniversary. Bungie, there are many ways to back up my opinion that you are the best company in the industry. for example, how funny and humerous you guys are, how your always making me hungry with your constant refrense to your free snacks, and most importantly the way you interact with the halo community. no other gaming industry would take a whole day to play with their fans and give them sweet prizes for beating you. thank you Bungie for having such an impact on my life with the halo series. And next year, Bungie will finaly be old enough to drink alcohol, and even though you probably wont have anything special on XBL, im sure you'll be having one hell of a party somewhere. so, once again Bungie thank you so much for giving me and every other halo fan somthing to smile about for the rest of our lives.

Love, Nife004niff (Marcus Kalcevic)

Annual Achievment.....piece of cake

Thanks guys for everything you've done for this community. The forums may be filled with complainers and haters but in the end were all one big family and if you ever decide you need something to remind you of why you're doing what you're doing, we'll be waiting here.....ready to take your steaks. :)

Hopefully they'll bring back things like "Average Joe", "Breaking In", and other community/employee interviews during their dark spell. Those were always interesting to read.

....The 7th Column

Thanks for the many years of wonderful times and intense Halo moments. In my mind Bungie will always be the only creators of Halo, but I understand you all need to grow and expand your creative needs. So with that said, I bid thee good-bye old friend. Here's to the future.

- With love,
Sean

FootedPanda = A panda with a foot. My name is Carrington Martin and I am in the United States Army. If you have a good memory, I was the soldier that was interviewed by Bungie for playing Halo in Iraq. Halo is fun as -blam!- when you have soldiers talking -blam!- to each other :)

*holds in tears of happiness*

You all have changed my life these past 8 years. I can't start explaining what you have done in my life. For starters, you certainly motivated me to join the U.S. Army. Since then I have accomplished so much in my life.

Therefore, EGO TUTUS VOS!!!

I can't wait to see what the next 20 years holds in store for us, the people that you said, "Halo is in great hands...".

See You Starside, Oh Captain my Captain.
