MMO's are the work of the devil. I would loose a lot of respect for them, if they make a "Pay monthly to play" type game.

Maybe they're going to take a Planetside approach to their next game... mmofps :)

MMO FPS =! MMORPG. I for one am excited by a large, interactive expanding MMO shooter in a sci fi universe. I mean, think if we had something like that in the Halo universe...we could see so many unexplored aspects like Covenant worlds and culture or the Outer Colonies, etc, and large amounts of user generated content, armor, weapons, etc. So much potential and mixing this with a brand new huge story universe is extremely exciting!

It's a quote from Marathon.

BLAM!

Speaking of Marathon ... Unless I'm mistaken "Durundal" is an AI not unlike 343 Guilty Spark and 05-032 Mendicant Bias (see http://www.halopedian.com/05-032_Mendicant_Bias ). Anyway my point is I wonder if Bungie is maybe doing something with the Marathon series. Now maybe I am totally wrong and I kind of hope I am. Also I don't know if Microsoft also owns the rights to Marathon somehow. If it is associated with the Halo universe in any way I would assume they do. Anyway just throwing it ou there ... What if Bungie is modenizing Marathon? Seems kind of strange that they would reference a saying from marathon as they are also starting to ramp up work on there new project. That said, I really do think it would be more exciting if it was a totally new IP. What do you guys think?

Dude, check the latest Bungie.net news "See you starside".
In it they clearly mention making a new game universe.

You guys seem to be desperate to find some type of hint at their next game in this.

I'm confident there is none...

I mean there's no reference in there, the statement is just saying goodbye. It's not some clever hinting at the next franchise, it's just that. Saying goodbye and that there's more to come.

To those who much is given; much is lost.

Let's hope.
