When I do it, it says I have to be a Windows user with admin rights.

Well let's see: Windows Vista Home Premium, with 3 Admin profiles, one of them being mine. And my Anti-virus is shut off at the moment...

How can I fix this problem?

EDIT: I have run the game as admin on my profile, which runs as Admin, tried applying the patch, and still the same problem.

Something smells fishy...

Maybe you could try right clicking and running Halo as admin.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Being on an Admin account doesn't mean you're running the program as one. I know it sounds weird, but that's the way it works.

Just right-click your Halo shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator." UAC pops up, hit allow, game starts up and you can patch it.

What the hell do you think I do every time? I run everything as admin.
