Subject: Most emotional campaign?

Or, say the most emotional part of a certain campaign. Or just a part you liked. Whatever, I can't control you guys.

Me:
Opening of ODST (feeling of being in droppod was awesome)
ending of Halo 3 ( NO MASTER CHEEEIIIIFFFFF *throws myself towards tv)

Reach wasn't as emmotional, not because it was a bad story but because, despite how much i "liked" nobel team, I didn't really LOVE them or care for them as much. Hell, I cared for the Rookie more because of that Lost-in-a-city-trying-to-find-others feel

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Halo 2. I was way more involved with Arbiter's story than any other in a campaign.

Opening of Halo 3. Seeing chief lifeless like that along with the music gets me every time.

Halo 2 was good

Jesus loves you! But I think you're a -blam!-

Johnson's death in Halo 3. Just another blow to the chief when he already believes he's lost all his childhood friends :I Least, I think he thinks that.

The cutscenes of New Alexandria...they got to me.

Johnson's death. I loved this guy, before I even knew he was a major character in the universe. His sniping for me on Assult on the Control Room (legendary), was the most help I ever got from an AI in any game. A funny character and my favorite...his death was very emotional for me.

Most emotional game was probably Halo CE. With Keyes, the flood, Echo 419... just too much.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Agreed. I was amazed that I actually felt sympathy for the Sangheili when they are betrayed, "I'm supposed to be killing them but I feel sorry for them"?

While I agree somewhat, if you haven't read the books those death scenes don't impact you as much :P.

Would have to say scene-wise?

Sadness: Johnson holding Miranda's corpse, then Johnson's death.
Wow: ODST opening. Loved the first person ODST drop scene. Sad that you can't do into it in theater and take screenshots.

Halo 2 had the most twists and most character development. Combat Evolved had the best story overall.

Currently Halo 3 has the worst character presentation and development and storyline to boot, and I get the feeling the rest of the Halo games are just going to continue to go down from there, if thats possible.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

The first time the glassing beam went off, I was taken aback. That one single moment was one of the most emotional parts of the game, the other being the point where Six takes his helmet off and drops it in the dirt. Not when he dies... but when he gives up the will to live. Powerful moment, that.

The most emotional? ODST gave me the shivers for about an hour, but the flashbacks really kill the melancholy atmosphere.
Halo CE scared me as a kid, and intrigued me as a teenager.
I'm still to play Halo 2 the whole way through. (Crucify me...)
Halo 3's 21-gun salute was a real emotional kick, too.

Which Halo was the most emotional? All of them. For different emotions.

hi

ODST. seeing all the bodys in the dirt, knowing you were the only suvivor in the city...

  • 07.10.2011 5:09 AM PDT

Halo 3's. Johnson and Miranda. =(
But I also loved Halo 2's because of how wide spread the story was; there was always something going on elsewhere while you were busy doing something.

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

I'd have to say CE. There was a variety of emotions in the campaign. Surprise/fear when you first meet the flood. Sadness when you find Keyes on Truth and Reconciliation. And nervousness when you try to beat the countdown timer during The Maw.

Halo 3 because of Johnson. Also happens to be the only videogame campaign in existence that got me a little teary eyed.

  • 07.10.2011 6:22 AM PDT

Sangheili Major: "Brute ships. Staggered line! Shipmaster, they outnumber us, three-to-one!"

Rtas 'Vadum: "Then it is an even fight. All Cruisers, fire at will! Burn their mongrel hides!"

I'm gonna have to say Halo 3, with Johnson's and Miranda's deaths(I don't particularly care about Miranda herself, but it was still sad. xD), the bit where Chief was reunited with Cortana, the end cutscene and the one after the credits, etc.
Halo 2 and CE had their moments, too. Foehammer's death got to me.

S.H.E

Reach was bad because there was no Frankie there.

I would have to say the ODST drop pod in beginning.

And at end of Halo 3.

ODST...that music!

  • 07.10.2011 7:39 AM PDT

The ending of ODST got to me with the amazing music in the credits.

  • 07.10.2011 7:47 AM PDT

ODST by far is the most "tear-jerking" campaign by far. The character depth was phenomenal! They all had a certain uniqueness about them. I want them to return in the Halo 4 campaign I liked them so much!

Favorite Scene: The reunited team taking down the Brute Chieftan

Emotional Scene: Ending while leaving the torn down city in ruin

I kinda ranaway with this idea if you wanna read my thread entitled ODSTs in Halo 4...just saying!
