If only Marathon was made in the Halo time zone. If you read it like a book, I am very sympathetic for the protagonist being at the mercy of three sketchy artificial constructs.

In a plainer sense, however, Halo 2's level "Uprising" was one of the most emotional missions that I have ever played. The song "Heavy Price Paid" and the revenge that builds up under your skin at the Brute's oppressive nature both contribute in the player's taking on the Arbiter's role and really feeling the part.

That is my opinion, at least.

Definitely the end of Halo 3, before you find out that the Chief is still alive. The music in that cutscene was perfect.

Fortune favors the Bold

I'm gonna have to go with the end of halo CE. It was just so much. You find out about the flood, then guilty spark. Next thing you know, you are fighting three enemies at once. The whole setting was perfect. The ice cold valley at night truly was perfect. It showed you were alone and in this cold place and the night was approaching and time was running out.

But I have to admit, I didn't really feel much when miranda died. I never felt really connected to her
