Oh yeah Johnrap, you did say something intelligent. You said amazing instead of a non-descriptive word like good, cool, get out of my freakin' mansion!, or pretty cool.

Stilts, spring loaded maybe. I've seen pictures of amputies w metal spring prostetics, they say they can actually run faster than regular runners.

WOW! I can't even imagine how bad that guy wanted to get out of that costume. The basic part of the costume didn't look that heavy but to be walking around on those stilts, crouched, for god knows how long.... It's no wonder he was sweating that bad. How much would those stilts have to weigh to have the costume work like that?

I like it, the knees, well your feet go in there, the lower leg and foot must be spring loaded with those bunny "shoes" that i've seen, since Elites go a bit faster than Humans. Nice job on the mouth, looks like the wires on them make it open and close. Vey unique.

Now to wait for a midget to make a Grunt suit.

how much does the nightmare armor cost to make (any ideas?) i couldnt afford it but i could always dream!!!!!!! nice suite. i wish i could have one....id get soo much candy! no more going as "a high-schooler who was unmotivated because the 2nd law of energy says everything is drawn to chaos and must be balanced by 'work' and im too lazy to 'balance the good with the bad'".

I actually remember seeing that back in '05. The jaws worked: leaned forward=closed. Lean back=open. Easy way to make it roar. The knees aren't really so hard but achive the visual effect so well it's ascetically pleasing in all aspects.
Wonderful costume.

I find this interesting, because a few years ago - I saw a show with a man who invented hind leg walkers that are the exact same form as the elites, except these things were strong as a steel (probably made of steel) and they were not bulky - infact he could run faster than a regular human... I wish I could remember or somehow find out what these were, it was on an obscure show years back...

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.

When I first saw that I felt like Chris Tucker.

That is simply amazing and a true testament to some serious determination and skill. I think that Mr. Matt Asanuma really deserves the accolade and praise.

I've always wanted a set of that armor. I even thought about building one, but it seemed like it would take too long and well, I do have a life. sort of.
too bad he couldn't make himself go invisible! that would have been awsome!

Fair play to him, amazing work. I think Mr Jackson should consider hiring him for his SFX team?

"Hey! I heard you fellas taste.... just like chicken!!"

Amazing! Just wondering can he run properly with those legs and knees if so can he run faster than a normal person?

This reminds me about the movie Underworld where they used such legs too for the werewolves, they used costumes instead of CGI, pretty cool. Not everything need to be done with computer graphics, this elite (I yet have to learn the race name) costume and Underworlds werewolf costumes prove that it can work out very well!

Would be cool to see this guy in the elite costume duel against one in a MC armor, wwould be hilarious =D

Oh and Nightmare Armor should really consider making elite suits after this guys formula, would be so sweet under the release party of Halo 3 (if any) to see a bunch of people in elite and mc suits, oh and give our dwarven friends grunt costumes, that would be neat, like the guy who played R2-D2 in the Star Wars movies 4-6.
Would be the best halo party ever.

So whats next? a ODST suit, brute? Or maybe a normal marine outfit?? Would be awesome if Nightmare armor could make those too!!!!

not a correction, but a point of detail:

referring to a horse's "backward knees" is technically incorrect. what you're referring to as knees are actually the ankle joints. horses (and other animals with a similar leg structure) actually walk on their toes.
