Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection with you.

This has nothing to do with the community, OP just wants his ban history (especially his recent 7 day) erased so that he can get to mythic faster.
Most likely true. He thinks by getting Mythic people will respect him more.

My response

*Looks at Title.*

This Mythic guy has a point. He must've known this by experience.

That Mythic guy looks like he knows what he's talking about. I respect him.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I don't care about being a Mythic, it is just a title.

Just becuase someone has a blue bar does not mean they are better than anyone else on this forum.

Want a fresh start? Create a new account.

Oh wait, but that will mean that your positive history is then gone.

That's the point. You take the good with the bad and they both combine into what and who you are. Parents can give second chances and fresh starts, but life rarely does.

For example, I would LOVE for my historical interactions with the law enforcement community and the legal system to be erased from existence. But that isn't going to happen. Those interactions happened, they are MY history and I can't make them go away.

To think that such a thing is feasible, fair, or likely? Unrealistic and immature thought process.

I like how criminal records are being compared to Bungie.net ban records in this thread. Sycophancy can really be corrupting.

Compared on their undesirability and the fact that they are a part of your history.

Not being compared as to their level of seriousness.

Sorry that all of the parallels don't align perfectly. But that is the risk of making a comparison.

Well it certainly seems like you care aout titles based on the idea of deleting your ban history, especially since you posted this fresh off your own ban.

I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

So all the trolls and jerks should be treated like they never did anything wrong? Like they've changed their ways and will never do anything bad again? I'm sorry, but this is another bad idea, Ken. :/

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

The ban record is there to help ninjas, and ninjas only. It is not visible to anyone else who visits your account homepage and although I would like to have my history box disappear since I already known what I have done. It isn't going to happen and chances are it won't happen for a long time.

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

But why don't we take the ban history, and push it somewhere else?

I see you

I hate Rupert Murdoch. This may permeate into my posts occasionally

That would be like clearing everyone's criminal record every time there's a new government.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

No, because I like the fact that I have a clean sheet anyway. It's like battle scars in Fable II, they don't go away - and you get them for doing stupid or heroically stupid stuff.

What would be the purpose? The entire point of the history is so that the moderators can better punish those who have infractions against the rules of Bungie. You for instance. You were banned for spamming threads on the forums, so if they saw you doing this a second time they would punish you more harshly to "re-teach" the lesson.

I've gotten warned once for calling a user an idiot. So were I to do that again I would be likely banned for doing so as I didn't learn my lesson. Having a "new beginning" would merely invalidate over half a dozen years of moderation.

What would be the point? It's not like anyone besides administrators and mods can see (or cares) about your ban history.

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

How is this relevant to anything? What is the final outcome of this? It's like you just picked this topic off a dart board and chose to support it without any half decent opinions.

This concept had zero benefits for any member. It is ultimately pointless. Why don't we just make anything moderation related moot while we're at it?
