Subject: New Titles - Good or Bad Idea?

Dating Age

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

We need a Junior/Rookie/New whatever you want to call it title for new members. Also I would take away Exalted from factoring into the super combos.

Achronos was actually thinking about removing the title system. I suggest we wait for the new IP to come up with new titles.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

I liked it when there weren't titles. Then again, I also liked the pre-2007 Hawtness.

I like the idea of a rookie title, maybe only dropped after a few weeks and/or a minimum number of posts (nothing too high to avoid spamming).

I made a thread on the idea. Lots of the mods liked the idea. Though some guy said it violated his freedom and would turn the forum into an authoritative state where creativity is stifled....

Lots of forums do it. It would go away after a month and a couple hundred posts.

If this was implemented it should stay no longer than three weeks. Time should be the the limit. Any post goal would be encouraging spamming essentially. I do like Duardo's idea in principal however it would have to be refined when enough detail has emerged from Bungie about the new Universe.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

I really like SJ's idea. Although I'm sure the prefixes related to the IP factions could use a little tweaking.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

I think the faction idea would be really nice, but theres no need to do such a radical overhaul. Perhaps with the faction just have a little logo on the title bar?

I like this idea, it'd leave the title free for more general variations.

Astronomy FTW

Tubas Represent!

I think the idea would spark instant success, and my contributing idea would be "Aurora".

Having been here since 2006 (2007 on this account), I really would love to see some new member titles.

"You are the diction, not me!"

The Spectagon

Grizzled Newborn

Sky blue? Dear Odin, that sounds horrible. We need to go darker, not lighter.

Well I don't see why, I don't think the current titles are even referring to anything, then again I don't see why we shouldn't have more titles.

Like Super Mythic, there you'll get a flashing rainbow bar that causes mass seisures to the entire population of Bungie.net, actually that might not be the best idea ...

It could also open up some more tiers for the higher members such as yourselves to aim for.

There already is a higher tier above Forum Ninja.

Are you referring to master forum ninja?

Your ideas sound awesome but whats wrong with the ones we have now? I admit they could add a few more prefixs but we don't need to scrap the whole system.

I think a title for your account's 10th year of activity should be in order.
Grizzled Ancient)didn't realize spartain ken already said this, sorry), I like the idea of using Rookie for people who are active for 6 months.

Come to think of it, black would probably be more suitable for that idea. I don't know why I wasn't thinking about the fact that there's already a light-blue in the member bar already. I think my point is just the idea of differentiating further rather than what exactly the colours I came up with were. Plus, I came up with all of that on the spot, so no doubt it would all need complete tweaking/overhauling if it was to be considered.
