Just an update on this matter, if anyone wants to know what the original problem was. Please scroll past the bold to the OP.
Bungie has officialy responded to my emails, saying exactly this "Thank you for the information. We have changed to all tube shipping for posters and prints."
& this
"We are getting things sorted out here, and will ship your other posters with better protection. You will get a replacement or refund for your damaged poster, please stand by."
So it's very, very good news indeed! Thanks Bungie!
Or whoever is in charge of packing and shipping items from the Bungie store. No, I'm not wondering when my order will be shipped. I have a little request. It's about your packing of prints and such.
You see, I received my "The Armory" print on Friday. And well, it's damaged. Pretty much ruined in shipment. And I believe it was because of shoddy packing. You only had 1 piece of cardboard on either side of the print to protect it, and both of the pieces of cardboard were facing vertically. Like this: (Except not torn up and such)
Vertical Cardboard photo
It is very easy to bend both pieces of cardboard when the inner structure is facing the same way. But, if the front was facing vertically, and the back would be facing horizontal like this:

It would increase the strength dramatically. It would also help if you use a stronger cardboard. One with a higher crush rate test. I realize you guys already have the cardboard you previously bought (A little over 16x20) but just something to think about for the future. I also ordered one of the "Master Chief Concept Art prints". I'm writing this, because I'm really worried that it may get damaged too! I don't want that too happen. I suggest that you guys ship that print with 2 pieces of cardboard on either side (4 altogether). You should also have the pieces of cardboard running in opposite directions like I said earlier. I know, this will cost $1.00-$2.00 more to ship per poster.
But in the end, you will make guys like me allot happier. I still expect some sort of reimbursement for my damaged print. I expect better packing for a print of such musuem quality as "The Armory". I hope this message is read by somebody in the high order, before you guys ship the MC prints. As I'm very worried that they will get damaged as well.
This piece of artwork by Lorraine McLees deserves so much better:
My damaged print
Mine isn't a case like "Oh, he's the only one with damage". Look on Amazon. There are 2 other people already that received damaged prints. And that's only people that have submitted reviews, heck, you guys may have gotten several emails already from people about my same problem. I just want to get the word out.
Other peeved customers
Thank you Bungie for the countless hours of fun and your great games, but I hope my message will increase your awareness in the field of packing and shipping.
