It's unfortunate that some prints were damaged. It was USPS that damaged it during shipping though. My poster was a little bent and my signiture card was bent a little also. Hopefully this is a lesson learned if they ever decide to sell more things in the future.

But it was more Bungie's fault. They need to mark the packages as "DO NOT BEND. All over, in red.

no they don't, I am pretty sure it is common sense NOT to bend a package. You need to chill, put the poster in a frame and watch as the miniscule bends disappear.

Yeah, very, very mad. And check out Komark's "On the Edge" print. The damage was hideous!

No, they won't disappear. There are little crinkles around the bend. The ink was literally crushed and jammed together in that area. The damage will never come out.

Also, it is Bungie's responsibility pack items better. It's the basic law of any online retailer. You get the item in question to the consumer in perfect condition, or else it's refunds and exchanges. Believe me, marking "DO NOT BEND" all over the package, then also adding insurance makes a huge difference in shipping. Because, in the end the USPS loses money if they damage the item in shipment.

That sucks. My On The Edge poster, Swag Bag and MC concept art print have yet to ship and I'm international. I hope mine don't get damaged.

Every time I've ever ordered a print online (for webcomics), they've always shipped in tubes. I'm kind of surprised Bungie would ship more expensive prints like these in crappy cardboard sleeves.

USPS blows. They damaged a metal game case that was sent to me through them once. A painting dosen't stand a chance.

You're asking people to state which non-released game they like better?

It's like asking a virgin whether they like being on top or on bottom.

You need to contact the Bungie Store through email as I did and they will be happy to refund or replace your item.

I didn't make a purchase, however I did want to make a purchase. But, my intended purchase was a poster for a room I am designing which I can easily paint on canvas for an overall better look so I chose not to order. As I said I did contact them about all of this before I placed an order, and ultimately decided against it, and I'm simply repeating what they told me as I was concerned that this would happen had I placed the order to be shipped.

Good luck with the refund, friend.

The contact information will be within the Contact Us portion of the Bungie Store webpage.

Yeah, I've emailed them 3 times since last Friday. Still no response, but there flooded with "Werz ma Swagz?" emails.

That is very odd. The case could be as you stated, and the fact that they only review emails upon their hours, which aren't over the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed.

You better close this sig when your done.

My Ancients poster got a slight bend in it, nothing really bad at all but I do agree with the op's method of packing it with four layers of cardboard, that would have prevented the bend in my poster.

Special orders such as what this is suggesting take much longer to ship, although you can request them and they will happily help you.

I do agree that the packing must be fixed, but I disagree that the poster's value is lost. See, if all the posters get bent then that's the norm and that means they all have the same value. That also means that if anyone ever wanted to buy the poster say 5 years from now then they're gonna have to buy a bent one. Also think of it this way, if your poster is bent then thats proof bungie shipped it =D.

No it doesnt, my motocross boots had practically every label under the sun posted on the box and the only thing holding the box together was stickytape, where as my EVA02 model had NO labeling and the box was mint.

The courier is to blame, not Bungie.

Sorry, but this news has to get out. In order for Bungie to fix the problem, so we don't end up receiving damaged prints.

Though this is an issue, i'm more concerned about people who got swag bags they didn't order.

It's sad that a item that already may be cancelled for some who already ordered it may be mistakenly shipped somewhere else.

While that is another issue, this thread is not about that. So please stay on topic.

I read the OP expecting the poster to be ripped to shreds or crumbled up into a sad little ball.

Maybe it's because I'm not a collector but I wouldn't even think twice about that little bend.

δόξει τις ἀμαθεῖ σοφὰ λέγων οὐκ εὖ φρονεῖν.

Euripides, Bacchae. 480.

I can't see any damage to the artwork the OP received. This is likely because the artwork the OP received is not damaged.

It has nothing to do with being a collector. The bend ruins all aesthetic.
