You were totally and absolutely correct in every way, I don't know why we were arguing, you're so amazing I should never have doubted you.

Someone's trying way too hard, 0/10.
I'm genuinely concerned. He must have trouble breathing, as do you, considering the sheer volume of Reachdick you constantly suck on.

Only, that is your opinion and not shared with everybody.

So stop trying to make it fact.
I'm just curious here, but why do you suck the dick of the game you suck dick at? Especially seeing how the game itself sucks dick and so do you if you think otherwise.
Only, that is his opinion and not shared by everybody. He likes Reach, you don't. End of story.

There's a lot of things objectively wrong with Reach. If you don't understand this, then you aren't worth discussing it with.

I don't know if you understand what an intelligence department is? It means if for some reason this was to happen he could use Dare's resources to find Carter in a battle scenario.

And just because you work in "intelligence," it doesn't mean that you are "intelligent!"

Then have them go hand-to-hand, no armor, subtract Carter's augmentations, and make them at the peak of their physical health. You know what, let's just have them right bare-ass naked! There are variables, that's why we test them! It's called science! If you want to get straight down to it, have them fight hand-to-hand? What is it that most armies give their soldiers? Oh yeah, guns! That's why this is fairly impossible! You have to just have Buck and Carter as variables themselves as soldiers. That is called science. Come talk to me when you have actually passed science class!

Or a close-range 12 gauge!

And it's the fact of the matter that it would be difficult for an ODST to kill a Spartan (EXTREMELY DIFFICULT) but that does not make it impossible. And leave it to Buck to be the one to get the job done. Also both were leaders in a Halo game. That was kind of the common ground. And in a fight, Buck's girlfriend, Dare, works in Naval Intelligence, so he would probably get the first shot off (if it's a sniper headshot that is all he needs as already stated).

Sigh, how does that make sense?

"Oh, bob's girlfriend is really smart, so he'll get the first deer when we go hunting even though she's not coming along!"

Then Carter gets to use Kat who is leaps and bounds smarter than Dare, thus finding Buck first. How many variables are you going to produce so Buck can win? The best route to go is hand-to-hand, no armor. Carter still wins though.

So basically you're just giving Buck more chances. Even then, Carter has Spartan training which is much more rigorous than ODST training.

As much as I love Buck (way more than Carter), Carter would win in a fight. I don't even understand why this poll has come up, for the only votes for Buck are supported by people saying "BUCK IS AWESOME AND BDAS$ KK BYE!" or "BUCKS VOICE ACTOR OWNS SO HE AUTOMATICALL WINS!"

In this case it does, remember how John took on and beat three ODSTs who were much bigger than him? Carter got training that is probably much more streamlined than that.

  • 07.12.2011 1:26 PM PDT

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Carter would win and he wouldn't come out with a cringe worthy catch phrase afterwards.

It should be noted that John was still a teenager and was fresh out of the augmentations. He also had no armor or weapons.

Exactly, he did all that fresh off the augmentations, Carter would be battle hardened at this point if he fought Buck.

Who said these were the best ODSTs in the UNSC and who rated them? Also, never count out the underdog? I still think Buck is smarter, overall. In my opinion "I'd rather have a sharp mind than a sharp sword."

The above arguments about John have only just added to the legions of proof that this spartan could take down Buck, a marine with just more experience and better training and with the title of ODST stuck on his armor.

Buck would be even more battle hardened after already battling through Harvest plus the rest of his training and his contributions on Reach! That I think puts Buck ahead of Carter in this subject. "knowledge (training) is pretty thin stuff unless mixed with experience." Buck has more experience!

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

"It looks like...*Puts sunglasses on* Buck won't know what hit him."

YEEEAAAAHHHH.

S3 training was actually better, least in the combat/fighting areas.

Though, while I do dislike that scene being used... John did that without even knowing his full strength. Carter after full training and missions? Would know exactly how hard and fast he could hit. That makes it deadlier.

If they are retarded, why are you posting in them? It almost makes you look insecure having to shove your viewpoints into other people's faces. Do you crave attention or have to be accepted?

Edit: About experience. Experience, like skill (IMO) does stop at a certain point. A person with 100 years of experience can be beaten by somebody with 10. All it really does when I look at it makes it so the guy knows more about more types of battle. It's a fine combination of both.

You can say the same thing about Spartan-Is. They were marines chosen for a new and separate special training program. Just marines with the title of Spartan. So what does that mean about Sgt. Johnson and the rest of the Spartan-Is?

Unless Buck was taught calculus at age seven I am pretty sure Carter is more intelligent. The Spartans were taught amazing battle tactics 6+ (and that was just info from the SII project! Physical, tactical, and intelligence practices must have certainly become far better in the SIII project), before Buck probably even thought about military.

I've made it clear in the overall expanded universe and canon, my opinion matters little. You on the other hand...
