Come on over to Moving Up for your primary help and Q&A source.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

When I come online in the Bungie forums, my first thoughts are "some time to rest, forget about that terrible match and talk to people with ideas in my forge thread or learn about easter eggs I never knew about", but instead I feel like I've just touched down on High Charity and I might get slapped in the face at any moment!

All I'm trying to say is, people should stop being so hostile, and thinking about other people's feelings. Just because you're anonymous as an internet user, doesn't mean that everyone doesn't take into considerstion what you tell them. People seemingly spam out death threats quicker than Warrant Officers spam out grenades on sword base (sorry, bad joke!).
I sometimes get death threats because I came up with an idea that someone else has come up with before, or because my armor is "too bulky" or "not unique" (I have changed it now, it just hasn't updated).

I'm sorry if you've read all this before, but all I ask of the community is, please show a little more respect to others and be less hostile.

I agree I think its no secret i was butting heads with a certain user on here the last week or two,but Just the other day i decided why bother life is just to short to spend time arguing with people who love something just as much as you do.

It's the internet, people will take advantage of the anonymity. It has been the same way for the two and a half years I've been around.

That made me chuckle.

But I agree that people are rude. It's nice to know that people care and are trying to make a difference.

I might decide to post here since the Halo Reach forums is full of negativity and trolls. I feel your pain bro. There is nothing much we can do about it. I just wish certain people grow the -blam!- up and respect others.

  • 07.11.2011 2:28 PM PDT

To be honest.. the forums have degraded quite a bit. I used to log in each day and post for a good few hours having a good time talking to members in each Forum but now I just keep seeing junk filling the forums, I actually find so little to reply to that my PPD is down to 4.0 and its still going down. There nothing interesting in the forums. I'm back to spending 95% of my time on bungie.net in the private groups. I'm just one guy and this is just that one guys opinion.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Unfortunately, I think that a mean/hostile community and Halo go together like a frag grenade and a headshot. There are more testosterone-overcharged teenagers running around this community than there are dead grunts after an all-night session of Assault on the Control Room on Legendary.

The best thing to do is ignore it like a 1% Onyx ignores the assault rifle. Most of the people who spout off such hostility are looking for attention with more desperation than a team of caffeinated 13-year-olds looking for an HLG team in the last minute of a game of Team Slayer. In all honesty, these haters/flamers are so ignorant of the fact that we don't care what they think that they might as well be asking when Bungie will release Halo 4.

@poster above: No. Report and move on folks.

@thread: The hostility really got started when halo 2 came out and its just spiraled out of control since then. Most of the time I simply avoid posting in hostile areas.

LOL, real rap is not made for you, white people.

We don't expect you to "get it." And you don't, as you've made abundantly clear through your numerous embarrassing dances, karaoke performances, ignorant haters, and pitiful imitators.

You giving your opinion on rap is like a dog watching TV. It's kind of cute because it LOOKS like he knows what's going on, but you know he really has no actual ability to comprehend it.

Welcome to the internet.

Enjoy your stay.

Must you utilize an abundance of similes? Your assertion is like Tartarus yapping at marines. Although I see where you are coming from, my good sire, I cannot agree with your short view.

As for our beloved community, it does pain me to see numerous infractions of the COC on a daily basis. Just because the forums are about a possibly anger provoking title, does not necessarily mean that we cannot discuss that title as civilized human beings.

Granted the majority here are immature physically, but here is an opportunity to grow mentally. For them to eat the path, we must first feed it to them, or at least, dangle a shred of squid like path in front of them so that they may gain clues. Enlightenment can be just around the corner, if the authorities allow it to be revealed as so. Why would you attempt to prevent ascension unto the dark planes of Arete Seven? These young ones, are our children, in a sense. Let us raise them into adulthood. Let us reveal the path.

Or, has your tenure as a higher up clouded your vision of true honor? Fear not, for lo, it is time for light. The sky emerges, friend. Be there, as a martyr of the darkness, or be their, as a king of the heavenly Arete Seven.

The amount of Halo metaphors in this post has exceeded the limit.

Expect consequences.

People loose courtesy when they realize its only a profile, I have seen a decline in the forums lately. It has moved to more trivial and repetitive matters but that's just the way it is, I miss the "good old days" but that is the past.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

It is indeed pointless, but how can you honestly stop it, people will get angry, no matter what is said, hopefully someone can then counter argue their point and be acknowledged, however it never works that way...

  • 07.13.2011 1:26 PM PDT

Let's be honest, it could be a lot worse.

Well not to go against everything you just said but you were in the Reach Forum what did you expect? Also yes I totally agree with you people on the internet are kind of rude.
