Note you can still play Halo PC pretty decently using an Intel integrated chip. But you will need an accelator driver.

if decently means getting 12 fps, then yes you can play decently.

I wouldn't consider anything decent unless it can get at least 50 fps running it at 1280x1024

Oh No! My framerate is absouloutely smooth in any resouloution, because my 4GhZ processor compensates for my Intel graphics. Its just the testurs that are a little me crape. But they show up after the accel driver.

mr high standards, are we?

i consider 30 fps at 1024X768 decent. many people out there cant afford the latest tech, and when they do buy a video card they use it for years. I am one of those people. Ive got a radeon 9600 XT and it runs halo just fine. im talkin 70 fps at 1024X768.

oh, and if you dont mind disabling part of graphics, ive figured out what parts of halos graphics really messed up the framerates. If you turn off shadows and speculars, your framerates soar through the sky! this is probably obvious to some, but ive found i shoot better in higher framerates, so dont sacrifice accuracy for a few graphical flares.

and im super tired now... and am rambling on about worthless crap... so im calling it a day.

BLUGH.
