Expressing my strong liberal views without shame. Favorite quotes below:

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."
"One starts to live when he can live outside himself."

- Albert Einstein

I was wondering whether I should get this book. I've read the original one published in 2001, but seeing as the game makes much of the final quarter or so of the original invalid (not everything, but quite a bit), I'm wondering if the reprint solves any of this and actually has altered content.

I'm of course expecting the first 3/4 to be exactly the same, but I'm wondering more about the actual Fall of Reach. The price tag isn't an issue at all, any meaningful changes will be worth it. Has anyone read the reprint and the original, and if so, what's the difference?

There is barely any difference what so ever. Just a few typo fixes and very slight alterations to certain tidbits that are, on the whole, irrelevant to the story at large. For example changing the Pelican during the Spartan's exercise in the mountains into an Albatross instead.

Other than that, the only thing that makes the reissues worth anything are the adjunct sections. Basically a tacked on a back section featuring some short stories in the universe that are unrelated to the core content of the novel itself.
