I accidently used the wrong Xbox Live Gamertag on this, oh well :P
My real gamertag is jcgerrard8, if you want to play with me then send me a message :)

So what do you think will happen in Karen Travis's upcoming novel Glasslands, which is continuing the story of Ghosts of Oynx and covering the events after Halo 3. Or that said, what do you hope will happen?

Sorry, a friend told me Eric was writing it, and I had a good reason to believe him considering he has written 3 Halo Novels and a short story. Ill edit my post now.

The Razor.

For the honour of the Mirratord.

I am really excited for Glasslands, for two main reasons.

1.) Traviss is one of my favourite authors, and I think she has a lot to offer the Halo universe. She has a LOT of experience with military science-fiction, and is extremely good at character development and delving deep into the minds of the protagonists (and often the antagonists). I think this is something which, generally speaking, has been somewhat missing from a lot of Halo literature, so it will be refreshing to see some stories where the characters are the focus.

2.) I think the aftermath of the events of Halo 3 will be a fascinating area to explore; the political, social, emotional, psychological, economical and environmental ramifications of the Human/Covenant war are massive and I just can't wait to see how the galaxy is dealing with these effects. Plus, it'll be great to finally see what happens regarding the Ghost of Onyx storyline.

Agreed, and possibly it might give us information or clues on what might happen during Halo 4, or the events leading up to it. Maybe Halsey and the Spartan's found Forerunner technology in the shield world. Matbe they even found a Forerunner? Who knows (only speculation)

Yonder the darkest bridge,
a misty light appears
as an amber gleam glistens post storm,
the methane shine shifts the emotional decor

I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it will explain how Spartan III's got to Reach and if Kurt's team survived or found anything in the shield world. Maybe it will provide some valuable insight into 343's new Halo 4 as well?

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I hope it's not like Human Weakness. I found that extremely boring.

You were totally and absolutely correct in every way, I don't know why we were arguing, you're so amazing I should never have doubted you.

Traviss wrote the Evolutions story about Cortana and Gravemind, correct? If so, I'm pretty sure she's also worked on Star Wars EU material before, and has shown a pretty good hand at this kind of work. I'm expecting a good sequel.
