Subject: How loyal are you to Bungie?

I am going to college in hopes to be employed there. Loyalty is muscle memory.

Sadly the closest I can get in for the next 4-5 years is Beta-tester. =(

Damn children not being able to get jobs.

@sdawk26

If you have ideas you should say them.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I would like to work at Bungie, but I would like to be one of the guys who creates the stories or helps think of things that could be in the game; I'm not big on the programming and stuff.

Actually, I think I might go concept artist.

May 11 will be known as Halo 2 Day for me from now on.

Well Ive been in the Navy since June 25, 2009 and its a fun job right now.

Im loyal to Bungie but I think its time for Bungie to move on to something bigger and better... I believe Halo is in good hands...

  • 07.12.2011 2:54 PM PDT

What spectagon are you in?

To be honest I don't want Halo back in Bungie's hands, It's time for something new from Bungie and Halo.

I'm loyal to Bungie.

I'm getting 343I's Halo games.

  • 07.12.2011 3:20 PM PDT

I'm loyal to Bungie, but I already pre-ordered the next Halo game, Halo Ce: Anniversary. And I will pre-order Halo 4. But I know I will get Bungie's next game.

  • 07.12.2011 3:22 PM PDT

Game wise? Yes. But would i go fight for them? No.

Hopes to be a concept artist for Bungie someday. Been here since '08, fan of Halo since 2001.

Watch This.

I am very loyal it's just that I'm not a "superduperhappyfunfan".

The idea I have to get Halo back into Bungie's hands DOESN'T involve terrorism or anything illegal.

Then you aren't a true fan.

Soon the Great Journey will begin. But when it does, your heresy will stay your feet, and you will be flung into the sun by a giant slingshot.
Haha I chuckled.

Why try, when you can win? Anything is possible.

I'll follow Bungie to the very end; but they're moving on from Halo. I will probably buy Halo 4, cause I'm not just a fan of Bungie, I am a fan of Halo as well. It's just a bummer that such a great company is leaving such a great franchise. Really, all you can do is say: oh well.

Same here. Even though the way Bungie made Halo was awesome, it's time for a change.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Honestly I've been ready for Halo to be done after H3.

This, completely, even though I'm starting off with my Business Degree =).

I wouldn't say I'm loyal to Halo, I mean really, after H3 I was kind of over it. But Bungie, I would say so.

Halo got me into Bungie, and Bungie got me into Bungie. I've been in love with Bungie, and this Community, for years now. Does that mean I would unquestionably follow them to the ends of the earth? Definitely not, but I will always appreciate what they do, how well they do it, and how they push the limits.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

I have no sense of loyalty for game companies. Only preference.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Honestly, Bungie are probably dying to try something new. Pouring your heart and soul into the same project for 10 years takes its toll.
At the end of the day they just want to make awesome games, not make awesome Halo's.

  • 07.12.2011 6:28 PM PDT

Кланяються мені!

Well, I'm still here so I guess you can determine what kind of loyalty that is.

  • 07.12.2011 6:49 PM PDT

Why hello there.

Microwave ovens are quite large.

WORT, WORT,WORT!

-NUMS!

I think Bungie actually was hoping to get away from Halo, not that they didn't like the series but that they wanted to make something new and just as big if not bigger.

  • 07.12.2011 6:54 PM PDT

Wow, just wow!

Bungie knows Halo is a sinking ship. They're just doing the right thing and bailing into an even more awesome ship...

  • 07.12.2011 7:51 PM PDT

I'm quite loyal to Bungie, but I don't see what a boycott would do. You all already bought the console and all previous games. You're also subscribed to xbl gold(probably).

I understand the the desire to keep Bungie working on Halo stuff. However, I've seen companies stick with things like that. It's not that there not good/fun/guilty pleasures, it's more that it just stagnates (Dynasty Warriors comes to mind).

A decade of Halo is enough. Let's see what else they can do, right? At least Halo will continue to be.

I think the important thing here is Bungie doesn't want to continue working on it.

Knowing this, if you were to press your question of how loyal I am to Bungie, personally....

Like a disapproving step-father: Just loyal enough

Enough for what?

Well that just might ruin it now, wouldn't it?

[Edited on 07.12.2011 8:45 PM PDT]

  • 07.12.2011 8:44 PM PDT

Loyal enough to understand they've wanted this. If they wanted to keep Halo, they would have done whatever it took to do so, end of story.

I don't know why you people fail to see that. They don't need their fans to rescue Halo. By boycotting Halo 4 by 343i, all you're doing is spitting on everything Bungie worked for. I know they agree with a sequel, and that they trusted whoever was going to continue the series, otherwise they would have just ended Halo 3 with no cliffhanger scene leading up to the story of Halo 4.

They're obviously really excited about their new project, and they've probably been working on it for a while now. 10 years of Halo was enough for them, they're on to bigger things. Just respect that. It isn't like Microsoft kicked them out, stole the rights, and they're working on a new project to compensate for it.

I'll say it again in case it didn't catch it... They chose this, they want to work on new things. End of story, that's it, stop reading into things that aren't worth reading in to.
