Well its not canon to the books but I would think it would be canon to the game. In halo reach, the pillar of autumn leaves reach, which has the assault rifle from reach. did the same gun change somehow while the pillar of autumn was in space? But like I said, thats only canon to the game and not the books.
The MA37 is NOT issued to the UNSC Navy. The Pillar of Autumn NEVER had them in stock. There is NO canon reason why they would have them.
The MA37 in Halo:CEA = unecisary cannon break.
Well according to the cutscene with the pillar of autumn in halo reach, everyone had the MA37. Like I said, makes sense to the games but not the books.
That was an Army variation of the same pelican from Halo 1 and 2. You can tell because they have the co-pilot seat behind the pilot seat, but still have the same shape as the Halo 1 and 2 pelican. Go watch some cutscenes in Halo 2. The seats are next to eachother because they are Navy pelicans.
The pelican in Halo 3 and ODST are a completely new and different varient taking the seating arrangment of the old pelican and making a whole new body.
The pelican in that cutscene had ARMY troopers with ARMY MA37s because they were on an ARMY pelican.
The USNC army had their own variation of everything to aid in their planetary defense duties. They even had their own variation of the Halo 3 pistol. They even had their own sniper rifle that was used exclusively by them. All the Human weapons in Halo Reach are army weapons.
End of story. The end. I win. You lose.
Um, okay, I didn't know this was a contest but does it really matter that much? The gameplay for halo anniversary is going to be the exact same. The gun is going to do the same things that it did in the original. Its not like they changed how the gun functions and shoots. And please don't think I'm competing with you over who's opinion is right or wrong. Life has enough competition on its own and the last thing any of us needs to do is have a pointless battle of wills over someone we don't even know over the internet.
