Spartans have their nervous system scrambled during the augmenation process of becoming a Spartan.

Theirs a backstory on Johnson because he didn't turn into a Flood. They made up a story of him having Boroms Sydrome (Not spelt right I think) from radiation of handling a lot of plasma grenades. He really had his nerves scrambled from Spartan I which was under cover.

Flood's have to infect you from your nerves that's how it spreads.
Talking about stupidity, Halsey explains very clearly why Johnson it's not infected, Johnson didn't have the same augmentation process like the Spartans-II either!

Do research before posting something, if you don't know what are you talking about then don't post!
you don't know what you are talking about.

johnson was rectconned like 5-6 years ago into him not getting infected because he fought his way out. bungie themselves said they wanted to changed that right after the book came out (which shows that if bungie didn't like what was said in the books they would change it).

augmentations don't mean anything as the floodsupercell would just adapt. spartans haven't been infected because spartans haven't fought the flood, we have like 4 spartans that have
Show me your source or you're lying.
lol, so because you are like 6 years late to a change and somebody tells you otherwise they are lying? that is mint.

It is called google and the halo graphic novel

I got my source, unless you have a link portraying Bungie saying what you just said, yes, it makes you a liar.

why don't you just stop being a lazy ass and google it? i believe it was joseph staten that made the comment and i know if you use the search bar here you will find it since it has been referenced for people like you over the years.

And you could by the graphic novel seeing how the book shows how he escaped

You need to learn to read, we are not debating the escape of Johnson, we are debating why he didn't got infected and why the Spartan-II augmentation has no immunity to the flood. After you learn to read, we will debate.

BTW, I know exactly how Johnson escaped.

That is why he didn't get infected, it was changed to show that he fought his way out completely removing the subplot of him getting infected.

Get the graphic novel

Here i found it for your lazy childish ass

HSP: Would the books make the cut?

JS: The books are, for better or worse, part of the canon. In the future we may choose to revise or flat-out ignore some of the less appealing ideas (Johnson's biological immunity to the Flood, for example), but folks should treat them as defining elements of the Halo universe.

this is where the graphic novel came in and changed that

Go to -blam!- Halo Wikia and search for Avery Johnson. Ctrl F for syndrome and you will find I was right. He was in Spartan I which did something to his nervous system. Flood's need a nervous system to infect, that's why they can't infect the hunters because their not a nervous system.

First off halopedia is filled with errors and speculation; anybody that is famaler with the halo lore avoids that place.

on one page they say the bubble shield was made by the UNSC and on the next the say it was made by the covenant, try to fix that and they will un-do it, it is flawed.

and i gave a direct link to an interview with staten himself saying they were going to change that. nothing that we know that can get infected is immune to the flood. johnson is not immune

Um, didn't he say something along the lines of "We can go back and change certain details, such as Johnson's immunity to the flood for example."

And not outfit "We are changing that." Though in First Strike(recent version) does Halsey still refer to Johnson as being immune though? If not... that removes one of the major decisions Chief did... infact the very one where he finally saw Halsey's viewpoint that ALL human life was valueable.

that was just one interview, there are about 3-4 with him saying they didn't like that so it was changed, hence the graphic novel

Um, I was under impression that Bosen Syndrome is indeed real and Johnson does have it. It's just that part of HOW HE DID get it was covered up by ONI.

And, I don't think that S-I augmentations gave Johnson to immunity against Flood. If it had happened like that then SPARTAN-IIs and IIIs would be immune to Flood as well. There is one event occurred that Master Chief nearly died from a infection form tried to get in his suit, link to his spine cord but it failed DUE to Cortana's doing, she shocked his suit, killing infection form.

Friends before pixels.

It was actually on The Flood, and it did get him in the back of the neck.

Him and Johnson are the only ones ever to survive contact with an Infection form.

Also,

IGN Comics: "Breaking Quarantine" answers one of the questions Halo fans have been asking for the past two years. For those who don't know anything about this story, can you tell us what it's about? Was it important for this story to be told in some form?

Jarrard: This is essentially the story of Sergeant Johnson's escape from the first Halo. When the first game concluded, we were led to believe that the Sarge was overcome by the Flood. Yet, when Halo 2 opens, we see him again back at Earth doing just fine.

Everyone has speculated about what really happened down there in the depths of Halo and this was something we were interested in exploring further. Now, people who have read the Halo novels are going to be quick to point out that an explanation was already given (something along the lines of a genetic condition that made his body undesirable as a Flood host). We struggled with this a lot internally... while we're all big fans of Eric Nylund's Halo novels, we felt that the circumstances surrounding Sarge's survival was something we wanted to re-tell in a slightly different way. One of our goals for the book was to not only expand the fiction into new areas but make a small adjustment to existing lore.
