Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.
My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary
In all reality, I hear far too many rants and raves about how ODST is lack luster, and isn't a good Halo title, or doesn't deserve to sit with the other Halo titles, but hear me out, ODST is much more than the gameplay. We must take into consideration many things.
The Character
No longer are we playing the role of a galactic hero, this time around, we're more of a human being than before. This different tone and sense of survival is so fresh and relieving. Many people disagreed with the decision to not use Master Chief, but think about it. Chief has been used for almost all of his potential at this time and we need a new face. It should be seen as a welcome choice.
The Story
When we get down to it, ODST is nothing like any other Halo game. You're not on a sole mission to save people, rather, you're in an open world and you're only choice is to unravel the mystery of the previous few hours. Why was ODST's story so different? Because it brought to the table a much more human aspect. The story brings you back before the Covenant landed on Earth, and explains the social drama that occured in the hours to follow. Do not take for granted the venturing Bungie took into their anecdote.
The Gameplay
Putting firefight aside, ODST showed us that we can have fun without being a walking tank. Honestly, there shouldn't be too many people upset with the gameplay. What this adds is a new understanding to the new atmosphere created within ODST.
The Music
The somber mood given to ODST is one that is easily recognized by gamers and fans alike. But, once again, remember that you're not a Spartan and the general Halo theme is not called for. With emotion extracted in Marty's pieces are nothing but pure beauty. With a completely new set-list, ODST is definitely set apart from the other Halos.
To wrap it all up, Halo 3: ODST is a brand new Halo and deserves as much praise that is given to Halo 2. With a well executed Character, Story, Gameplay, and Music OST, ODST is not a game to be complained about. There's no large faults with the game, and remember that it is simply a larger Ad-On.
