Happens to me a lot, just because every few days I will post like crazy in the Flood when there actually are interesting topics.

To each his own, I supopse. Anyway, I'll go on record as saying that I don't mind PM invites. Although, if someone does mind, I can certainly see how that's a problem.

I would actually agree with you John. I don't mind invites. If the invite is nothing more than "Join this group, we are..." or anything close to that, then I simply ignore the invite and move on. If I see one that shows me why I might like the group, then I find it worthy to at the least check it out.

I don't see a single message as spam, though I do find it rude when it simply generic. However, more than one message from the same person about the same group that has not changed warrants a block.

If they make the PM personal, then it's fine other wise I dont even bother reading.

Well truthfully, I've found if you just answer the person kindly saying either "yes", or in this case "no". Not replying is somewhat bothering to them. If they word it right, the ones who want you to join the group can say that, by not answering, you provoke them to keep asking.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

That's why you use the block button. It stops them from asking you again, and is much easier than replying saying no.

In my opinion, some of you have your noses too high in the air. So you're saying that if I invited you to any group that I am currently in, you wouldn't join just because you do not know me? That is very odd and sounds like you are too important to join other people's groups. I always click on the link to the group. If the home page has a lot of spelling and grammer mistakes, then I leave and send them a reply telling them that I wouldn't contribute much and wish them the best of luck with running the group. If it looks good, I join and check it out.

How would you be able to block 1500 spamming inviters? Blocking a person just once won't help, they most likely won't send another PM unless they are stupid because they know that sending an invite twice would definetly not make the person want to join.

If the PM is directly aimed at me, and not just some," Please join my group, wehave games, things, and more tingys! lalalalaal.." then i won't join because people aren't sending me the PM based on my personality and what i post, but just because i post a lot in the forums sometimes. I don't even delete them i'll just look at the group, if its clean and more than 25 members than i'll join and see what its about. If i don't like it, no hassle, i'll just leave.

And i agree with John, because saying that you get so many PMs a week sounds like your trying to tell everyone,"Hey look at me i'm so cool i get PM invites all the time! I'm so cool!". And i really don't think anybody appreciates that.

Check boxes. Who gets 1500 invites anyways?

Well what i meant was that there are probably around 1500 people sending invites all the time. If one sends you one, he probably won't send another to you. If a bunch of people send PMs and never send another, whats the point of blocking them?

Catch my drift?
