Subject: Why all the hate for noble team?

noble team rocks. no doubt about it.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Because they only one who was of any use was Jorge. The others contributed nothing and Kat actively worked against me.

Kat is a suicidal driver, Emile thinks shotguns work like they do in bad company 2, Jun snipes sleeping grunts during a "stealth mission", Carter and Jorge were alright.

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

I love Jorge as a character. I respect Carter too. I kinda like Jun and tolerate Emile. Kat is meh

I didn't mind them, but they didn't really stand out to me either.

Noble team shouldn't exist, and Spartan 3's shouldn't be on Reach. That's why there is hate. They were pulled out of Bungie's rear for no necessary reason at all.

There's nothing to indicate Noble Team didn't exist. One can make an argument about the quality of the campaign, but this alleged canon flop is nonexistent.

Anyone think it would have been better if they used the revived Spartans (mentioned in Dr Halsey's Journal) instead of Noble Team? It would have been more interesting and more believable.

Also, here are some detailed explanations about the problems of Reach's story and characters.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

How? Sure those who really like the Spartan-IIs would cream themselves, but trying to portray the personalities of more than maybe three Spartans in a 10 hour game would be nearly impossible.

[quoteHave you read Halsey's Journal? Have you read any of the marketing materials released with Reach that talked about Noble Team and the SIII project? I don't think you have, or have even heard a summary of their contents, if you had then you would know that the majority of the "contradictions" between Reach and TFoR have already been fixed. So yes, Bungie worked to make sure the two matched, they even said they worked to make sure they meshed! [/quote]

Halsey's journal did not explain or fix any of the contradictions between the game Halo Reach and the novel The Fall of Reach. The first time Halsey encounters a Spartan III is on Onyx. Halsey first learns of the Spartan III program when she hacked into Colonel Ackerson's computer.

You obviously are dead set in your opinion and I am as well. The fact is that Bungie did not make their best effort to make that Halo Reach and TFoR had not contradictions. They should have just continued the story of John instead of pissing off fan's of the Halo Universe.

[Announcement Trailer] Halo: Forerunner

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

Thank you antinio for taking up the mantle of "poster-boy" for what this forum has become. Though the title has no external physical attributes (title bar change, different color text, etc.), the internal ones are a doozy (diminished cognizance being the most prominent - don't worry, you probably won't even notice). Congratulations!
