Subject: Any Chance Bungie will Make a Huge explorable universe space shooter?

Long Night of Solace is by far one of my favorite missions. I love space shooters and this mission reminded me of a pc game called freelancer which i wasted many years playing. It wasnt a very popular pc game but it had a hugh universe to explore, many upgradable ships, weapons, shields, etc... Very very fun and the gameplay was almost exactly to the long night of solace mission. With how good bungie did with there space shooter im just wondering if they would ever think about making a game like that maybe a mmorpg for xbox live or ps3 which a hugh universe to explore with many systems and planets? Since they are getting away from the halo franchise.

I also couldnt find a subject already discusing this so if there is one im sorry for making a new one and someone can give me link to it please.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

That's what I'm thinking they're doing. All the hints have pointed in that general direction.

I am a Floodian

I just keep looking forward to them announcing Pimps in Space because I've convinced myself that it is the best game ever thought up.

Now selling HHDDVVDDBVDs. HD DVDs, but with better marketing.

I can't wait for all of the Halo references. I love catching things like that, it makes me feel all tingly and nostalgic...

It better be a MMOFPS, with a huge world! No matches, just free-roam and have fun! Or at least something along those lines!

Certainly set to be a sequel for Pimps at Sea.

The only thing I worry about with Bungie's project is the limitation of current consoles. I hope they don't nerf the game because of this limitation.

Our luck, Bungie will release the game on the threshold of new consoles. If this is the case, I'd rather see Bungie hold off on releasing "Destiny" until the nextgen consoles are released.

"The Rescue of Pops Ghostly" veteran.

I agree with the OP. Long Night of Solace is a refreshing change of pace in Reach, along with seeing the other side (space) of Halo combat.

I'd definitely support this game, and would hope that the flight controls were similar to Reach. Now, pair that up with said HUGE universe(s), clans/squads, support ships etc....sounds fun.

I honestly think that Pimps at Sea would make a great arcade game.

But I would actually enjoy an MMORPGFPS. I want a game that has RPG characteristics (player development etc.) without the hours of time farming for experience or whatever mechanism the game uses. I'd like to be able to play through an FPS and "level up" along the way. That's one thing I really like about Reach's cR system and CoD's system (although I don't like the advantage in equipment that CoD has for higher levels.)

Infinity: Bungie Style

I think they are going more of a mass effect mmo route with different fractions.

RIP Halo 2

For some reason I feel like their new game is gonna be kind of like their old game Myth.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

MMOFPS set in space, I believe.

We haven't recieved any information yet. Bungie has gone ghost, under radar detection, invisible, etc. We won't know or hear anything till they are ready. All I know for certain is: Jason Jones(man behind most of Bungie's games including Marathon, and Myth series) is heading it, and it involves stuff we haven't heard of yet. Be patient, we will hear something soon...The signs are shown, the stars reveal the path, all will be known in due time. The journey looks bright, and the path a treacherous, but noble one. We must sally forth and become MEN! Now bring me that sunrise!

The Marathon references! They're everywhere!!

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

The saying on the homepage has to be some sort of clue of their next game. But an open-space fighter would be interesting, of course it would feel to much like Halo and Starwars. Maybe Bungie may take a step back in time to the early ages of human life?
