Subject: My goal is to be friends with a bungie employee

Wake me, when you need me.

Don't make it your goal to be friends with one. Just coincidentally run into one of them in a game, and just make small talk. Don't go off on a rampage asking them questions about work. Like I said, just make small talk.

To be honest, I think it'd be much cooler for you to have a Mythic Member as a friend. Tell you what, you seem like a good kid, I could put in a good word for you in the Mythic group if you want.

Mythic members are like people with tattoos. Just as soon as you become a Mythic member, you can kick anyone's ass. It really works.

We DO tend to be more chill and less shotgun-whoring. Then again, if you give bungie your money, you ARE their friend. Everyone wins!

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

I'm pretty awesome. Don't you want to be friends with me?

Yeah, well my goal is to work there... -blam!- hard learning all you need to know to get there but I want that job more than anything in the world and will jump through fire and ice to get it.

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

Just to play against or with a Bungie employee is cool enough as it is. Still havnt achieved that goal yet.

So far so good.

They're just people . . .
Except Urk. He's a ginger, so he's not people and I don't think he can technically have friends.

Sounds like a stalker... you want them to think you randomly met them... but it wasn't random. I'm a little scared now.

Are you really lonely enough to idolize people who work at a video game company?

Bungie Employee: What is this, is this a hair doll?
OP: I didn't make that! It fell out of your hair that way!

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

That is a little weird.

It is stalker like.

It's very unlikely for a Bungie Employee to be playing on Halo: Reach, after all, they work a lot. And in their free time I think they'd rather spend their free time with their family and friends.

  • 07.15.2011 2:54 PM PDT

If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

There's nothing good about befriending a Bungie employee. All they do is belittle you, and take your assassinations. That's why it's sometimes okay to betray them with an overcharged Plasma Pistol shot. You know, for the lols.

Suck it Hal.

They are cool people, but wouldn't you find it a little creepy if a friend of yours were to tell you, "You know, 3 years ago I made it a goal to become your friend, and now, here I am!"

I would be completely creeped out that someone worked that hard to pursue a friendship, especially making it a goal before they even knew me? Yeah, double creepy.

Recon, I don't know if you know this... but I've always wondered what it would be like to be your real-life friend. You see, I am a bit of a loner and I take comfort in reading your often entertaining yet knowledgeable posts on these forums, and I just think it would be really neat to be able to go grab a burger or perhaps an ice cream cone with you sometime.

I just... think it would be awesome. Please don't turn me down. I don't know what I would do if you turned me down.

Well as far as I know, not many employee's don't accept friend requests from people they do not know at work or just in real-life in general.

Also, it's a little creepy to make that a goal, IMO. They're just another gamer online, that make great games at a studio called "Bungie."

Normally, employee's play an assortment of different playlists.

It would be cool to be friends with them, but I wouldn't want to make it a goal. If I meet a cool dude, and he just so happens to work for Bungie, that's awesome, but working at Bungie isn't a raison why I would want to be someone's friend.

Recon did bring out a really good point. Friendships are natural. Not something you aim for, unless it's a girl you're aiming at.

Why would that be someone's goal? That's a pretty sad goal in life.

Where did he say it was his life's goal?

Anyway, I wouldn't go for it because you would have to get past the small chance you have of getting matched with them.

That's where. It depresses me to know that there are people out there who wake up in the morning only so they can go on forums to talk about video game companies and make up inside jokes about the employees of said companies as if said company actually cares.

Sorry, but I'm only interested in webcam MVP's :D

working at Bungie isn't a personality trait, it's a occupation.
Well put.

And you'll still be a random person sending a friend request even if you encounter them in matchmaking. Playing one game with an employee doesn't qualify you as their best friend. As much as the employees appreciate you being a fan of their work they choose their friends just like most do.
