Subject: My goal is to be friends with a bungie employee

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I mean there could be someone working at Legoland right now that later works at Bungie, but you don't want to meet the Legoland employee do you?

No, you just want to meet the Bungie version of that person, I mean it's the same guy, but he has a cooler profession now.

I'm sure Bungie dreams about being friends with the Legoland guy. He has a cooler job, I'd rather be his friend on XBL, imagine the stories!

Its c00l3r to be friends with Mythic members

QFT, bro. Bungie employees are cool, but I've only played with two of them for more than one game. :\ Halo 3 customs with Bungie community members... Those were the good days.

Setting goals is a good thing OP, but 95% of the current Bungie employees do not play Halo anymore. And when they do they are trolling AL. Those are not people you want to be friends with. Trust me.

Last week I got an Email from Urk that said,

Do you think SonicJohn likes me? God I hope so, he is so cool. I want to have a beer with him, but the fear of rejection keeps me from asking.*

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

I could believe that but the urk knows all! Not really sure he would lie about liking someone *sarcasim*

It's always good to have a goal in life!

But personally, I think that is a relatively bad one - and ever so slightly odd.

How shallow of you.

Also, you said you didn't want to be a random person sending them a friend request? You already are.

um... how? And how??

You only want to be their friend because they work at Bungie.
They have no clue who you are.

Also, why be friends with employees when you can be friends with mythic members?

Because most (notice how I used the word "most" and not "all") Mythic members are jerks and elitists.

I do agree with you though top_gun on the "only be friends because they work for Bungie" part. OP, they are just people who work at a game company, I guarantee you if you ran into one of the guys and they weren't wearing anything Bungie related on you wouldn't have guessed who they work for. It's nice that you like the games and the things Bungie does but to "be friends" with them just because of who they work for and not who they are is wrong.

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

This.. this is sad. OP, focus on making real friends in real life that are important enough to you that you don't need to set internet goals, to make over-the-internet friends.

Is it not joyous? I, for one, would be incredibly happy if I had a personal goal to meet and befriend a Bungie employee. In turn, my focus would be primarily on that target, but would not be blind to my surroundings. I'm sure the OP knows what he is doing.

Well, that would explain why when we got matched up on Bungie Day, he knew me just from looking at my gamertag (which isn't even spelled the same!) and he started talking to me as if he knew me. Asked about my fiancee too. Stalkermuch? >.>

Besides, we already hung out for drinks back in '09...or maybe he doesn't remember that over the sound of how awesome Yoozel was feeling that night :P

I might make time for him later, if I can find time in my busy schedule. So many cool things to do, so little time.

Bungie Employee: What is this, is this a hair doll?
OP: I didn't make that! It fell out of your hair that way!

They are cool people, but wouldn't you find it a little creepy if a friend of yours were to tell you, "You know, 3 years ago I made it a goal to become your friend, and now, here I am!"

I would be completely creeped out that someone worked that hard to pursue a friendship, especially making it a goal before they even knew me? Yeah, double creepy.

The logic....... It's beautiful.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Anybody who has betrayed Bungie by:
*Hatin' on them.
*Hatin' on their games.
*Tampering with the game.
*Bein' a jerk.
Is not their friend. Otherwise you are under their steak of love.

I was in a party with a Bungie employee one time: JohnnyOThan or something like that.

It was chill up until someone in the party blurted out, "OMG HOW MUCH DO U MAKE," which is a rude question to ask anyone, let alone a guy who probably spends a good chunk of his time playing Halo fielding equally dumb questions.

I like to think that everyone else in the party simultaneously rolled their eyes.
