i know petitions are against the rules, but so is SPAM, and SPAM is more of a problem.

WE NEED ANTISPAM PRIVILAGES!!! There needs to be a way the majority of the Bungie Comunity can vote on a topic saying its spam, and if a certain amount of ppl say somethings spam, its considered spam and closed (or on a type of stand-by until a MOD's around). This type of Petition will seriously help us with the ongoing battle of SPAM.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

This is not a good idea. Why? Spammers could make mass accounts and say good topics are spam. Won't work.

true... man, there should be a limit to the number of accounts on one IP adress.

well, what if it just puts the topic on a sort of stand by, like you can only edit, but not post.

If you make it so you can't post, than if these spammers mass attack the forums, all threads could be locked down and no one will be able to post. That wouldn't be good.

It is possible for the spammers to change their IP address or post on someone elses computer. So even that does nothing.

I think there should be a few more moderators. A few people that have mod qualifications, and are online a lot (as the mods we have now dont seem to be). Having a few more mods would also increase the chance of there always being a mod online (because theres lots of time when there arent any online). Its Bungies choice I guess.

Oh, I wasnt saying the mods do a bad job or anything, I just think we could use a few more.

Also, IP banning doesnt work as good as you guys seem to think it does.

I think some of the moderators on some Myth forums would do a good job....but I doubt that's going to happen.

What I'm trying to say is that it would probably be safe to give locking abilities to people with previous mod experiance.
