Subject: Level 06 : 343 GUILTY SPARK

This would have to be one of the most unique levels in Halo:Combat Evolved for me.

The main reason is that is was so bloody scary for me. When I played Halo:CE when I was younger, I could never finish it, because I never had the courage to beat the 6th level (reminding you I am 7 years old).

The spooky rain-forest - visibility is dim, foggy, it's raining, the echoing radio and the *beeps* freaked me out.

And that mysterious yellow dot on the radar that moves, and you can see a unknown disfigured thing in the distance for a split second and then it vanishes.

And a can't forget to mention the explosions and gun fire at the entrance, yet when you take the elevator down as it Mysteriously comes up yet it was covenant to meet you and gruesome rooms of dead carcasses everywhere.

The dead marine- This is the bit where I -blam!- myself *turns xbox off* (I'll play it later LOL), the video if the marines being slaughtered and the elite with the hole in it's chest. ( I actually disliked how the master-chief fast forwarded the footage of the marines,I would of liked to see the whole thing.)

I could go on, anyway.

That Friday night after school, My brother and I decided to beat it. Man I swear my heart was beating a million beats per minute.

Thanks for reading this, I feel that I had to express this exciting moment of my Halo:CE moments and memories, please feel free to comment of your experiences during this level and what you thought when you played the terrible level 6.

I was playing with my brother at the time and we were extremely paranoid the entire level up to where the flood attacked. We freaked out and ran for our lives, which resulted in getting lost in that maze of a level. What seemed like an eternity later we found the elevator room, just to watch the stupid lift blow up in our faces. Next, we found the other lift, and we were delighted that it didn't explode, that is until it took us deeper into the map.

At that point we saved and quit (the smart solution).

Actually, I find that I'm more invincible without pants, which is why I am not wearing any at the moment.

Only level in any Halo game that freaked me out at all.

Bungie was brilliant in those days. They anticipated every -blam!- reaction. 343 Guilty Spark had great level design!

"Hey! I heard you fellas taste.... just like chicken!!"

Aah... this level gives me memories. The adrenaline kicks, the buildups, the nasty surprises, the WTF? moments. The Flood really keeps you on your toes and not only in that level. They still creeped the F outta me for the rest of the game.

Good times.

When I first played 343 guilty spark I freaked out. It was late at night and I was ten. I wouldn't play Halo for a week after that that had the flood. It was the only level that scared me in the entire campaign.

If it had a great level design then, just imagine what it will be like in the anniversary, I just hope it has the same late night experiences like last time, and those pizza nights with all your friends playing multplayer and having a good time, I hope it will be the same :)

I've always wanted to experience Hallow'een in the states, but missed out the one time with dates for work. Now i want some "pizza nights" with some american Halo lovers for full effect as i never had any internet connection until Halo 3.

I shall begin my vigil...........NOW!

Send me out....with a bang.

For me, 343 Guilty Spark was without a doubt the very best level in the entire halo saga, except for Uprising on Halo 2. Bungie got the suspense just right, and it was genuinely scary - you barely encountered a single enemy until about halfway through the level! Then suddenly, you watch a freaky cutscene, and the door smashes down and these wierd things start beating the -blam!- out of you :D The objective? "Escape!". No Cortana, No marines, not even any covenant. Just you, and one -blam!- load of flood. Best damn level ever.
