Subject: Community Com Chatter...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I know Com Chatter will be gone from the home page for a while but that doesn't mean it has to disappear completely.

What if we simply made our own community com chatter?

Example for look:

*date

*what you are trying to display, maps, montages, etc.

So, what do you guys think?

I'd rather not

Don't let fear of rejection stop you from going after what you want

You could try, just looks like too much work for the community.

I would hope people would like posting their com chatter like stuff.

Subject: community com chatter?, worth a try...

Too much self-promotion, not enough news.

Couldn't be properly maintained. Bad idea.

We were somewhere around Barstow...

Seems like an excuse to find news where it doesn't exist. For Halo news go to the 343 page. There won't be much substantial Bungie news for a while I think.

I quoted Skibur.

Anyways, I don't really see why you couldn't give it a try. Although, there really wouldn't be that much to talk about here since after the "New Hawtness" comes, Bungie will be going dark.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

One of the best things about the comm chatter was that Urk (Or other employees) looked through submissions to make sure they're good enough to be on the front page. The downside with this is everyone will get on it and many not-so-good things will be up there. You have to have some filtering of content, and I don't trust ninjas, Tom T has horrible taste. It would also just be more work for them.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

Apparently this comm chatter is supposed to be "inclusive" so...here's a cat for starters.
More inclusive photos after these messages.

It would maybe be best to leave this up to HBO, or a similar fansite. HBO do a pretty good job on collecting Halo and Bungie related news anyway. The only problem I see is that it's not here on bungie.net.

It's a decent idea but we will always have bias.
