As you all know, or should know from running through the campaign, architecture varies from mission to mission. The three categories include Covenant, Forerunner, and Human. I'll give an example of each below.

The mission Gravemind is a prime example of Covenant architecture. I remember feeling so ecstatic whenever turning a corner. Not only was it because of the immense fights or dramatic soundtracks, but also playing a stupendous part is the way everything looked. The royal purple that the covenant employed, extraordinary stabilizers over the hanging gardens and especially the organic implementations really made for the well rounded feeling I call nostalgia sometimes.

On the other hand, the level Regret would be a prime choice in depicting Forerunner structure. Would not you agree that the ruins of steeple like buildings and traces of an advanced civilization provoked some sense of that warm, Christmas morning fooling inside of you? What mysteries could have been buried and lost forever if they had apparent miracles such as the submerged elevators and stone of old? What I am suggesting is that Forerunner architecture intrigues one due to the human nature to explore. So much is unknown of these lost cites, it's fantastic.

Lastly, what of the Human architecture? Does it give you a homely feel? Take one of the initial levels of the game for example. How about Cairo station, or Metropolis? The first is an example of the more contemporary designs whilst the latter is of an older model, yet still futuristic to us. When playing on these levels, the buildings and uniform shape of ninety degree angles really makes me feel at home, and encourages me to fight back just a tad harder at the invading forces. Is this only me?

So, the question is as follows. What is your favorite and why? What experiences made you select your most precious choice? What feelings does the selected architecture promote in you? Mine would be Covenant, as I am a total carnage fan, and the eerie environment brings out a little Brute in me. Not to mention it is majestic due to its alien sculpt. I love that sort of stuff.

So what is your favorite architecture selection from Halo 2?

When my grandson and I first started playing H2 in Feb of 2005 we were strictly coop so we enjoyed fighting building to building so Outskirts and Metropolis was our choice. We had our own silly call-outs but it was fun and we mostly played Legendary except when doing tricks or glitches.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

for me it would be a tie between covy and human, i wouldn't call those ruins from regret forerunner structures though, assault on the control room, uprising and the ark is what forerunner architecture is, isn't it? either way i hated the ruins in delta halo and regret but i enjoyed the other 2.

human: it was really fun playing in a familiar environment again after C.Es campaign. outskirts and metropolis < love those levels! the buildings, the bridges, roads... so cosy lol

covy: gravemind was a thrilling experience for me as well first time i played it, alot better then Keyes which was good at its time but looking back after experiencing HALO 2, it all seems a bit 'dull'. i always liked those holo panels bungie put in games and the lights on walls, doors, columns are spectacular! i also like those covy plants as well in the hallways.
