He did one somersault, because he kicked the door in and zero-g caused him to flip all the way around; and he twirled another time to avoid a piece of floating debris. Hardly pointless. As far as I'm concerned, he moved like a Spartan.
The rest of what you wrote doesn't deserve a response because it's a simple teaser. Yes, but did the floating debris need to be there? Why didn't he just push the door open with his hands? And I really don't see why there were so many explosions, what is causing them? I'm not saying the game will be bad because of what is in the trailer, I'm just giving my input on what the answer to the question in the op is. The question seemed to be, what are you a bit worried about 343 making halo 4, based on what they have done/said so far.Why shouldn't the debris be there? It's a zero-g environment. Objects are going to be floating around, uncontrollably. To your second point, the reason he didn't just push it open was because he needed to apply more force against the door; hence why he grabbed onto the environment and built up some momentum behind his kick.
Does the fact that he spun around, or did a little twirl, genuinely bother you? The explosions, well, we'll have to find out what's going on there.
The OP was really asking about Microsoft, tbh, not 343. Whether they'll give the developer time to put in as much originally planned content as possible.
Games are always bound to have content that didn't make it, but it's important that they take their time and are wholly satisfied with what they ship.
