Subject: Bungie Beta Tester Signup Question(s)

Hating everything comes at a price....
Everything hates you back.

(I apologize if this is in the wrong place and I will request a lock if it is, but it seemed most relevant here.)

I just recently 'updated' some of my residential details in the Beta Tester Signup, and realised when it submitted that it told me to "periodically check your e-mail for updates". Now I haven't been on my e-mail account in some time and most of the Bungie e-mail addresses get thier messages put in junk which deletes the messages after 10 days. So I was wondering if I had missed anything important?

Thankyou in advance.

EDIT: my question has been answered but this thread has people asking more questions, most of which are being answered also.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

Naw, usually if they're going to send out any mass emails they'll mention it in an update.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Is it required to be older than 18?

however, i would prefer if there was an age limit at 12, like what is required most online services.

READ IT.

I won the Star. With this on Week 18.

That Beta that was via email, was canceled.

This is it now.

I'll be on my own side.

You might want to update your spam filter settings. When some sort of beta does start, any download codes or registration information will most likely be sent to whatever email address you registered with.

You might not have missed something yet, but if in the future you get sent a download code for Bungie's next beta and it gets deleted, that would suck. Bungie may post about it on the front page, but if for some rason you can't access your email for a while, you'll be ok still.

I'm not talking about the e-mail survey, im talking about the one you just linked. It says to check your e-mail periodically for updates when i changed something, I think you mis-read that as me using the first survey that was sent via e-mail.

  • 07.17.2011 12:49 AM PDT

Pwned

They said the beta program isn't specifically for their new IP so I'm guessing depending on what age you put in (also game interests) is what age type beta programs you'll be receiving. Like if you put your age as 10 you might receive a beta for a Aerospace app targeted towards a younger crowd.

AH! Well, I think they meant after they separated from Halo, and could concentrate their full force and power into their new game...

Also, remember, they said they going dark for quite some time... so I guess when their new game, "Destiny" is announced, that is when we should be looking at our emails every day for some epic invite...

It is also for the Aerospace app games they will publish in the future... they want to know what people would buy, and who and what they should publish...

So really, it's up to the people who get to publish their app games with Bungie Aerospace.

but wouldnt that require an iphone or similar device? I'm not neccesarily "up-to-date" with technology. I have no need for a phone so therefore have not purchased one, I rarely listen to music and therefore havent purchased an Ipod and most humiliating, my PC still has a floppy disk drive. :(

Cool, that's what I thought to do. But one more question, is this beta only for Aerospace, or does it include future IPs. For example, would it give you free access to a multiplayer beta (like Reach's) or would it just give you parts of the game that may have bugs or whatnot.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

That sounds cool. :D

If Aerospace is for mobile devices, is there any talk about providing Aerospace awesome sauce for us android users?

Perhaps maybe a way we can buy your mobile games from Bungie.net and have it sent to our phone.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

Dude, so excited to see what Aerospace puts forth. I've always felt like mobile gaming would never be worth truly playing until I could have a Halo-like experience on my mobile device.
Now my favorite company in the world is going to make that dream a REALITY. How cool is that -blam!-?!

Oh, Bungie this is why I love you.

Be thankful you're in the US, doing this kind of job in the EEC would be a nightmare. The data protection implications are -blam!- mind boggling.

For those of you wondering how I got my username, I just bashed my head against the keyboard and accepted whatever it said.

"I'm serious, and don't call me Shirley."

How can I edit my answers to the Beta signup?
