Those listings are totally against Ebay's policy. To properly report them use the following.

Detailed Reason
Chance Listings

Grab bags are listings where identified items are sold in a group (in a bag). You can list grab bags as long as you follow these rules:

Identify all contents of the grab bag in the listing. The number, quality, or condition of these items doesn't need to be identified.

The listing doesn't single out anything that "may" be contained in the grab bag that has particular monetary or obvious collectible value. For example, grab bag listings for collectible comic books can't allude to the possibility that a specific rare, high value comic book "may" be included in the grab bag. This type of listing is considered a lottery, which is not allowed on eBay.

All contents of the grab bag need to follow our prohibited and restricted items policies.

I don't by the seller saying the bag is unopened. The seller knows whats inside, and probably just put everything back in it. If he would have got an item that would sell by itself, I'm sure he took it out.

However, I fully expected someone to do this. Just glad I got my own Swag Bag for $30.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Are the swag bag cinched or is there actually a seal on the bag? This could solve the not opened argument.

(Including hand made items) Is just part of the generic description eBay provides as part of what "New" may mean when you select it as the item's condition. It's not something you can change.
Oh, well there we have it. I've never used eBay.

Is there any way at all the bag could be closed or was it literally like a target bag without handles?

All of them were, there is no seal on it. You can tighten the bag, but that is it. In other words, unless the Swag Bag is in the shipping packaging the seller knows whats inside it.

Not really, the seller did pay the full $30 that went to charity. The seller is just tripling his money. Bungie should have added a few "special" swag bags to the charity auctions. I'm sure people would have paid more money for a few of them.

There is no way to be certain that the bag has not been altered.

I saw this post when it first was posted. It use to say that it was a second bag that was sent to him by accident. So, yes it is stealing. And whomever buys it is guilty of accepting stolen property.

Not what I was asking. I already assume the guy knows what he is selling.

HACK THE PLANET!

Considering the first one sold, this one will probably sell with no problems from eBay.

Honestly, why do you guys care if someone sells it? Yeah he is making a profit but technically it is going to another Halo fan.

I actually don't have a problem that he's selling it, that's his choice and his right. I have a problem with HOW it's being sold, which is in fact against eBay policy and should be reported and removed. Of course I've personally seen worse slip under the radar, so I wouldn't surprise me if this trend continues.

I've been doing eBay...a long time...and I can guarantee that the only reason they do this is to protect the buyer. eBay feels that the term "buyer beware" should not apply on their site. I know plenty of friends that have been screwed over, and I have personally been screwed over, due to this policy. I sold an item for $300, customer "didn't want it", and sent it back and it was missing a piece needed for it to work and it had a crack in it. To say the least I was pissed.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

That is such nonsense.

I guarantee you the seller knows exactly what is in the bag and took out anything valuable.

What is sad is how much people are willing to pay for a swag bag.

  • 07.16.2011 5:58 PM PDT

Hallo :D

LOL

So i sent him a message on ebay asking him what's in the bag? This is what he sent as a reply, which didn't answer my question.

I am not trying to rip anyone off. Everything that was in the bag is still there. Bungie just handled shipping and the whole swag bag situation poorly, so here's a chance for a dedicated fan to get one.

"Looks like this guy is selling his swag bag already, making a good profit from it to. Click

Pretty sad that someone is willing to pay that much when the items contained inside is probably worth much less."

So that reply means he saw this thread and knew i was the OP who sent him the message. I feel very loved that he would quote my post :D

He is ripping off people.

There are now 2 swag bags on ebay, one just listed and already has $40.00

(I advise no one should buy it and I am not promoting a sale).
