Subject: Dealing with the New Hotness
Losing Custom Rows is the biggest thing, next to events, that hurts me. Its what I use the most. And almost everyone I know hate the Custom Colums. They all prefer Rows.

Agreed. The Column-style custom DB's aren't anywhere near as useful as the row-styled variant. You really can'tt do much with them, and most of the time, you don't even have enough space to ask the questions or list the data you need. I mean, if we were asking questions in a database like " Ice Cream Flavors" (Which would be stupid, but just to use it as an example) you can't list words in the catagories over 8 characters long if you're using all six column in the database. Not to mention that when people make longer entries in these catagories, the columns become rediculously large, and almost rediculous to follow.
The Row Format works much better under a wide-load majority of circumstances, and allows you more customization. To do away with them is to limit the functionality of the database system, and put a cramp on founders to create MORE databases for similar topics, thus using MORE of Bungie.Net's bandwidth!
For those of us who have been founders for a while, it's not only going to limit the amount of content we produce for our members, but limit the quality of the content as well, possibly causing some founders to buy thier own websites from services like tripod or geocities just so that they can create individual structures for data containment that are actually WORTH using! Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the new hotness, but as a founder, I have just as much reason to be wary of the limitation as I have to be excited about the positive features of the new hotness. I worry about what I can offer to my members, as any founder should, and though I know that haveing quality over quanity is better in most cases, the majority of chapter databases lose thier appeal and worth to members after about four months, However there are times when some databases are hard to part with due to thier housing of information which may still have some long-term use or sentimental value to the founder / creator of the said database.
That being said, I am excited about the new hotness, but at the same time, I cannot help but be critical on certian areas. I do not question the Staff of Bungie.Net on the work which is basicly thier property to do with as they please, but at the same time, I cannot help but wonder why some features, such as the events bar (Which is loved by some, and hated by others) couldn't just be an optional feature choosable by the founders / staff whilest customizing thier chapter's sidebar.
Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems everyone would benifit from applying options and resources rather than further limiting them.
