AuSam: 'lol, who the hell would even have sex with dogs?'

The profanity filter would be a nice option to remove for private groups - although there are multiple ways to bypass it, they are all pretty frustrating.
The others don't really affect me so much - unless I'm tabbing out to multiple threads, and replying at similar times, then it's more annoying with the anti-spam filter.

Or you could find better things to do with your time given the thirty seconds of real life, separated from the Internet? Unless someones timing you in a life or death situation, I don't see how 30 seconds could be that inconvenient. And if it is, I don't see anyone but you taking the time to make an issue of it. The swearing filter as well, unless its for creative writing and sharing of said writing. Then I could understand. Otherwise filling posts with profanity just makes you look like an idiot.
Thank you for your well thought out reply.

I like the way you've never got anything nice to say when I'm involved. umad about something, bro?

I mean, only a really dumb person would argue against choice and customisability.

Are you a really dumb person, Helveck?

I'm the son of rage and love, the Jesus of Surburbia from the bible of none of the above, on a steady diet of soda pop and ritalin, no one ever died for my sins in hell, as far as I can tell, at least the ones I got away with.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to get stuff done on the internet as fast as possible and then enjoy real life after that instead of trying to cram real life in 30 second gaps?

I agree Skibur, arguing against choice and the ability to customize things would be dumb. If they were deemed important or significantly useful that is.

The difference between you and I is, you obviously care more about small insignificant functions of the site, and I couldn't be bothered to give a -blam!-.

By the way, using umad bro? Nice touch.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

On profanity, I agree with you. On PMs I disagree. One of the primary reasons for the "one post every 30 seconds" rule is to keep the site from crashing.

Besides, can you imagine? Bungie.net would turn into Facebook instant message. Blegh! Gross.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

What's wrong with improving a system to make it faster?

I don't see a problem with adding this feature. I don't think it's really necessary though and would be more of a luxury instead of something that adds benefit to the site.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

As I recall, the spam filter first came in after a gentleman by the name of Watermelon King went on a small rampage.

If a similar event were to happen in a private group, where the person in question would be immune to censure until the site admins tracked down the bulk traffic, then could we see the servers getting overloaded?

Profanity filter toggle would be nice.

Can I not post to simply say I disagree that this is an issue that needs addressing? I didn't know my motives, intentions or reasons for posting would be questioned by someone who has no weight or reason in questioning why I say what I say.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

LOL, real rap is not made for you, white people.

We don't expect you to "get it." And you don't, as you've made abundantly clear through your numerous embarrassing dances, karaoke performances, ignorant haters, and pitiful imitators.

You giving your opinion on rap is like a dog watching TV. It's kind of cute because it LOOKS like he knows what's going on, but you know he really has no actual ability to comprehend it.

For private groups, or at least give the administrator the option to toggle it on or off.

The PM one isn't great either, especially when it pops up for no reason and messages don't get sent.

Are you constantly running into this annoying feature in private groups or on the forums? Do you want it gone too?

I only ran into the constant spam filter in the pm's once which was right after the whole site was down a day ago. Other than that, i've never gotten the message. So, nope and not really.
Your coup hurts my eyes.

OP, I agree.

"misbehave even if no one is watching."

But why should they care if we are, God forbid, swearing on the Internet!?

Agreed with the feature, I think it would be nice addition allowing for not only more control, but another incentive to create private groups.

My God you are a pompous one...

By adding to the discussion at hand, you automatically submit your reply to be reviewed, discussed, and critiqued at will for the sake of the thread and the issue.

If you don't like being criticized for posting overly rude comments that add nothing but clutter up the page then don't post at all.

You can, but you didn't. I'm curious as to why you think an optional toggle of filters in private groups is a "small insignificant function of the site?"

You know, other than because you "could find better things to do with your time given the thirty seconds of real life, separated from the Internet"

They might be useful for other people. Choice is still choice, no matter how small that choice is. Choice is always a good thing.

The difference between you and I is, you obviously care more about small insignificant functions of the site, and I couldn't be bothered to give a -blam!-.I care about things that affect me on these forums, this being one of them. I also care about groups and would like to see more customisation.
