Far too often I see the Moderators and Admins claiming that it's us that's the problem in that we don't report often enough.
That's a really bad argument.
If a tool doesn't give us the right incentive to use it, then it is your tool's fault. Make it flashier to use, make it have positive consequences for the reporter if the post they report gets dealt with. Heck, even just have the Soul send you some flowers and chocolates through the PM system as a thanks.
I don't know, just something. I can't stand the practice of calling fault on the member when the design of a feature fails because it isn't used as intended.
As it stands, I like the report button, and I use it often, but it would appear that not enough of everyone else do considering how many "my report queue is empty" or "you guys don't hit the button enough" posts from the Mods that I've read. That's really bad. The queue should never be empty for very long. Or ever really. The phrase "Too Quiet" comes to mind.
But that's just like, my opinion, man. I hope we see some revisions to the report-button in the future, at least on the more front-end side of things. Functionality it's fine, but incentive-wise not so much.
