Subject: Reach Servers Crashing

Why is it that I try to play Halo Reach then get kicked out because the servers crashed multiple times this weekend and then I get a warning that I quit too many times and then I get suspended for Bungies problems. We all try to get our challenges done and have good games so why not monitor your server crashes and not penalize good players for your problems. Ron

I haven't had any problems, I think it's just you.

Sounds, like it's your problem, Ron. Ed.

It's not Bungie's problems. Their servers are fine. It's your connection to other players in your game. If you get disconnected from LIVE, even for a small amount of time, you've lost connection to the game and are removed.

Halo Reach and subsequently other Halo games do not play off of servers. Halo is peer to peer, meaning you connect to someone who has the best host. You need to take steps to improve your connection, first off would be making sure your router/ISP is compatible with XBL services. You can find information like that on the Xbox.com/support page. Next thing you may need to configure your router/modem so it supports fluid play while connected to XBL; such thing as opening ports or your NAT to enable better game play and connectivity.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

Might also want to check if you have UPNP or Universal Plug n' Play turned on, on your modem.
