ok, so at the beggining seen of halo 1 captain keyes is talking to cortana about the covenant ships attacking the pillar of autumn. captain keyes says to activate the cole protocol (which for the people who havent read the books is when all the information of earth, manuvers, courses, etc... are erased). so how come at the maw 343 guilty spark is taking information and talking about earth? it makes no sense. o well just goes to show what a nerd i am for playing halo 1 at 5:30 in the morning while eating pizza pops with the computer a meter away from me. and reading the halo books doesnt help much either...

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

Maybe Guilty Spark is so powerful he can find the info even though Keyes erased it.

looks like you found a loophole in the storyline! But still, who really cares? Halo is still a great game!

I know right? It's just a game. I don't understand why peoplespend countless hours trying to figure the game storline out and stuff. It's only a game just go in kill all the bad guys and hoorah! You win.

Cole protocol isn't the erasing of information pertaining to earth and its location along with troop movements and weapons deployment. Its the destruction of all that information and any shipboard ai that may be present. But cole being the natural hero that he is, tells cortona to hitch a ride with chief while he himself goes down with the ship. Thing i dont understand is why he didn't land it so that it was destroyed like he said instead of injuring the ship. Of course if master chief werent on his ship we wouldn't have a story because he would have ditched the thing and killed everyone. But i guess since he was there he needed to get her back somewhere safe or on another ship, idk.

maby it's because Cortana was in the PoA when 343 gulity sparks started finding information about Earth.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

anyone who knows anything about computers knows that nothing is ever truly erased from a data base, at least not nowadays. it is not inconceivable that guilty spark would be able to dig up or recover something out of the ships mainframe. hahahaha, maybe the UNSC ships run on windows and they didn't empty the recycle bin, idiots. lol.

lmao, that was funny. And nothing is really ever erased unless its physically destroyed.

Putting the "pro" in procrastination since birth.

dude, ever thought that the forerunners could be humans? or that keyes never initiated the cloe protocol?

Actually you might have something there. The ARC is the place where someone can set off all the halo's. Guess where the ARC is? Earth.
