I want to be a game designer in the future, and I'm 17 years old and times almost up. To be honest, I dont know what a game designer really is (I thought it was a person who designs games but i dont know the true definition) but I wanna become one. I got so many questions but to start off, what school should I attend to get into the video game industry. Should I goto a 3d art design school or some computer programming school?

Look for a school with a good digital arts/media program.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

It really depends on what you want to do. There's to main fields that a person gets into when it comes to Game Design. There's either Programming (Good math & understanding of code) or something in Art (Very skilled at drawing and creating). Here's a little CopyPasta of my own that I like to carry around with me. Hope it helps!

To be honest, and this is straight from the horses mouth, it doesn't really matter what degree or what school you came from. Your portfolio is the best thing you can show to get a job at Bungie, if it's impressive, then you are considered to be put on the team. Though, below are more references and links for more information:

So you want to be a Programmer.
Breaking into Bungie.
Following in the footsteps of a Bungie Employee. (Huge resource).
Wise words from Vic.
Be a Game Designer 101.
Becoming a Game Animator.
Publications.
Ten Tips.
Concept Artist Information.

=), good luck.

Rokit is the man. Most advice, I've seen anyways, always recommends going to a 4-year University. Go there, get inspired, join the clubs relevant to your interests, find new interests, work your butt off, and so on.
