Luckily the mods quote when you send them a message, but sometimes I want to remember what I sent to a person because I want to make sure I got it right. Now I know there is a preview button but once you hit submit it's going to be to late and sometimes I may not have caught the mistake even if I looked over it a few times. I would like the option to be able to see exactly what i wrote just in case. I don't know where it would go but I'm sure the web team could figure out a place for it. Thanks for reading.

I don't understand why we don't already have it.

It's not like it'll further strain the servers or use more memory or anything.
There used to be a script for this, and I enjoyed it, but due to one of the site updates, it doesn't work anymore.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

Not only that, but I often have conversations that extend over a few days, and it can be hard to remember what I wrote. This is one of those ideas that is a no-brainer.

But this is the Community. There will always be that one guy not agreeing for the sake of disagreement ($10 says their reason is "it's not essential/waste of resources"). Surprise me, Community.

I think you can get an add-on for firefox that saves your messages. Either that or it's Coup.

quod te non occidit, te fortiorem faciet

That would be pretty useful, because I usually forget what I messaged to which person. Surely when it takes an eternity for the other to answer.

Agreed. It's a feature most other forum sites have.

When you design a messaging system, you must take a clear route when you decide to not give the option to view sent messages. I can't even remember being able to in 04. I don't see it anytime soon.

Welcome to Bungie.net.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I've been wanting to view sent messages since 'nam. If we haven't gotten it by now, I wouldn't get my hopes up

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

I would say that it's more of a luxury, than a necessity.

But yes, I would very much like to have this function.

There is a script for a "sentbox" to be used with GreaseMonkey. The only thing is you have to have at least 2 pages of messages in your inbox for the "sentbox" to show up, and if you're like me who deletes messages then you're still SOL'ed. I wish there was a sentbox already implemented but oh well... Maybe with the new IP.

I do see some benefits, but I think the best thing to do is click preview to make sure everything is right.

Almost every other site I've been to has a feature like this.

I don't even think it'll involve heavy coding either, I just want a reason why we don't have it.

It wouldn't. If it can be modeled in a simple GM script, then it can be made by the Webteam. They're professionals.

Very good point.

Yeah, it wouldn't even require more disk space, really. I mean, when you send a message, it gets stored in bungie's servers. Why not just give us access to that certain data in the form of a sentbox?

I dont get why we dont have it

I've always wanted an outbox, hopefully we'll see one in the next New Hawtness.

That's what I was thinking but I think it might be to late for suggestions....OR IS IT!....Seriously is it Achronos?

That would be very helpful, I sometimes forget what I have sent and it makes replies very difficult.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I've always loved the idea of one. That being said, I'm going to quote the truest statement in this thread when it comes to something like this....
