What's Halo PC like, is it worth buying? Eventhough I have Halo 2? Please answer some of the following questions.

* Is it worth buying eventhough I have Halo 2?

* Does it have online multi-player?

* I heard there's a flamethrower, is it good?

* What would you rate it out of 10?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

1. Yes. It's still a lot of fun, and there is usually no problem finding a good game online. IMHO the single player is a lot better on XBOX control wise, but that's just me.

2. Yes. The online is great.

3. There is a flamethrower, but I find it useless. You might like it though.

4. I would give it an 8.2741 out of 10. It's really fun, and it's a good break from all the idiots on Halo 2.

Play the demo. You can try the flamethrower yourself and play CTF or slayer on Bloodgulch as long as you want. It even includes the SP level silent cartographer.

Yes Halo is way worth buying man, i even prefer it mroe than Halo 2 there are a lot of modded games, but if u would prefer non-modded games, id go to the Bungie and Eu-Bungie servers

The Flamethrower is real good to me, but thats only if your in a server with weapons that arent really powerful and can shoot longer distances than flamethrower, and anyways if u practice with the flamethrower, u might be able to be practically unbeatable

I'd give halo an 8.9

Halo Pc in my opinion is better than halo on xbox because u can play halo with way more other people than havening to hook up system links, plus u get more weapons, new vechs, new maps, and Halo CE

it is totaly worth buyin 16 players on 1 map thats fun. and all the modded maps they are really cool. i like the flamethower but........ really short range, the shot gun has more. i give halo pc a 8. also you can get halo ce for free. it has like over 600 user created maps and weapons. lots of fun and its really cheap.

try the demo its blood gulch. it has the flamethower in the caves by overshield.

Halo pc kicks, its so cool. Its like owning xbox live, on ur comp. and the online is free so thats even better. It might not be halo2 but it beats the pants off of h 2 xbox live.

I cant agree with you on that. The Demo has players that use Dial Up. Its always laggy. But the full version you get little to no lag.

1. Yes, Halo 2 on the Xbox sucks.
2.Yeah....
3.Yes, but it's ONLY good at very close range.
4. 10/10, one of the best first person shooters ever made.

1. Yes if you have a nice PC (this includes at least an ATi Radeon 9600 or above or an nVidia 6600 or above)
2. Yes it's free with up to 16 other people at once
3. it's a bit cheap in my opinion, if you get torched by it you're basically dead.
4. 9/10 for being a bad port that needs system specs at least 3 times higher than what the supposed minimum requirements are.

Not necessarily, though. Sacrificing some eye candy will get you a nice, playable HaloPC game on your computer. My old, currently fried laptop had an AMD Athlon @ 1.5 GHz and integrated graphics but it still ran fine, once you sacrificed almost all the eye candy in the game. But it's still able to run, though, and doesn't take too much away from the experience.

Just buy it! Cmon its only like twenty bucks. I can't say if its better than Halo2 since I have not played it, but I will rectify that situation once its on my PC.

Driving the warthog around is worth the twenty bucks alone.

1. Even though there is no matchmaking features or buddylists in Halo PC, at least you don't have to pay a fifty dollar subscription a year to play it. It is ESPECIALLY worth buying if you have a decent PC and don't have Halo on Xbox.

2. Well. Duh. It makes common sense to put online play for Halo when it is known for it's multiplayer. Unfortunately there is no co-op.

3. The flame thrower is good at close range, but the fuel rod cannon is great.

4. I would rate it 8.5/10 because it was disappointing in some aspects but nonetheless a great game. And there is a less chance someone will tell you to suck their reproductive organs. It might still happen, but since their is no built-in voice communicator system for Halo PC, the chances are not as high. And you can't standby.

It is a great game, only thing is that the stupid, moronic, idiotic AI soldiers don't help too much, although it is fun to walk around by yourself, with the exception of the flood(shiver).
I'd give it a 9/10.

If you are looking to play mostly multiplayer then don’t waste your time. HaloPC has the worst netcode I have every played. Now if you like the idea of using a mouse/keyboard for precision aiming, then again don’t waste your time. Now HaloPC does have m/k support and it is very precise. But unfortunately that precision aiming is completely wasted. You see because the netcode is so bad you don’t actually aim at the other person. You have to aim out in front of them, sometimes 1 body length sometime 2 sometimes 3 or more. It all depends on what your ping (and the person you are shooting at) is to the server (which isn’t constant).

So ask yourself this, are you the type of gamer that…

Only wants to play the single player…
Doesn’t like actually shooting at your opponent but shooting where you think they will be…
Enjoys vehicles and people warping all over the place..

Then this would be a good buy. Otherwise wait to see how Halo2 PC is.

If you just are looking to play with a M/K then pick yourself up a Smart Joy Frag mouse and keyboard adapter for the xbox and just play halo2.

I just got it today and I unfortunately found out I can't play due to my damned video card. It looks like so much fun though what with all of the modded maps out there and the fact that you only have to pay one bill of $20 for the game.
