I figured, the Covenant Energy Sword is already in the game; We just never could use it before in the original. Should the Energy sword be a useable weapon in Halo:CEA? You know, instead of just disintegrating whenever you kill an Elite that has one...

EDIT: One other thing; if they added the sword, then perhaps they could also make the Wraith drivable. That may be pushing it, though. Post your thoughts.

Yes but it won't be in the remake.

I may be short, but my heart is tall.

I would be happy either way. I wouldn't feel like they were changing the game a ton by allowing me to use it, but if they stayed true to the original, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

EXTREME PREJUDICE

It would be cool if they removed the sword's fail safe.

Speaking of, since 343i changed the AR from the Reach variant seen in the E3 trailer back to the original model, I wonder if the sword will be changed back to the gool 'ol plasma sword..

The sword is already in the game. Why would they need to put it back in if it's already there?

Oops. I think I just lost your mind.

How about a skull (possibly confirmed, watch to the end) that allows the sword not to explode but to be wieldable?

The sword wouldn't heavily impact gameplay.

You can't do suicidal charges with it, not even with the Flood. It all depends on the melee animation trigger. If it's a fast melee like the plasma pistol's, then it's op.

But if it uses the plasma rifle's melee speed, then it's ok to be in teh remake.

Friggin deal with it

I'd have to say No, because it's an Anniversary Remake, not a new game. It needs to stay true to itself.

For the last -blam!- time, the game will be no different from the original other than graphics, skulls, and terminals. It is about going back to that game you played years ago but completely restored. If you asked for someone to repaint the Mona Lisa using modern paint/lighting techniques, would you want her to have blonde hair and in a bikini? No.

(This reference of course goes towards anyone who actually appreciates fine art/the Mona Lisa specifically)

Absolutely not.

I would if, and only if, they did it through a skull. I think it could be kinda cool to be able to turn on a skull that allowed the use of sword (and maybe FRG). But I wouldn't want it to always be on. I would want the capability of having it on or off depending on how I want to play on a given day.
