What has happened to it following the end of the war? Is it still guarded by Covenant ships? Could the Brutes still control dozens of ships that guard this space? I would love if anyone had information on this.

I do not know myself, however if I were to make a speculation, I would have to base my knowledge on other alike occurrences.

So what do you think normally happens in a power void? Smaller, usually more aggressive sects take charge. In Stargate Sg-1 the Lucian Alliance took over the Goa'uld infested territory. Likewise, the barbarians took the Roman territories way back in the days of the Grizzled Ancients.

Thus, I would say that rogue jackals, or some other specious, possibly not previously affiliated with the Covenant, took over their domain. Who ca these unseen foes be? Nobody knows. That's part of being unseen...

Knowing what has become of the Covenant, Elite controlled ships would overrun the area, wouldn't you think?

Off topic, and somehow they are now a threat to a civilization that could pwn the UNSC with a 7.1 ratio. I don't get it... is the leader of the Lucian Alliance Stosh?

What part of that trailer suggested a war to you? It was a ship slowly drifting into and getting destroyed by the planet's atmosphere (speculation, as no one has seen any other means of damaging the ship)

I agree, on their way home they would demolish every Covenant resistance in their path. I'm guessing they would hunt down every last one of those psycopaths.

Well your wrong and need to stop reading the news, or start reading since the war is clearly over in halo evolutions.

There is no "covenant space" each race is just trying to survive right now. honestly the UNSC are top dogs even in the weakened state.

The Kigyar would hide and pick off the weak when opertunity presents itself,
Elites need to rebuild their homeworld as does humanty.
Grunts are possibly going to overbreed their numbers again expand (covenant kept their numbers in check).
Brutes will turn on each other if the Elites did not eliminate them all.

Well thats my guess

I was merely making a comparison, however, let's just pretend for a moment that this adversary from SG-1 is to be merged in with Halo, sure, you can blame Stosh for taking advantage of the power void... ;)

Not sure but I do know that elites started to hunt down brutes so covenant controlled areas are most likely war zones.

  • 07.20.2011 6:52 PM PDT

The Elites continue hunting the prophets and the brutes after the war. The brutes, after the prophets go into hiding, have a lack of leadership and begin to rebel amongst eachother.

Meanwhile, the humans are trying to rebuild. Reach is re-terraformed later.
