Subject: Couple Questions About Spartan IIIs

Are Spartan IIIs, in their SPI armor, as fast and strong as a Spartan II? I know it offers less protection and doesn't even have an energy shield, and it's cheaper, but since it is, are Spartan IIIs not as strong and fast in it?

Also, what was different in the Spartan IIIs training? I remember there was something that they decided to try that increased their adrenaline or something, and was really risky, but did it anyways, what was that specifically? And was there anything else?

Thanks.

No but they would still be on fighting terms with won from the brief fight kelly had with a SIII on onyx.

The main thing against the SIIIs is age and overall lack of education

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

Generally, the Spartan III's are overall worse than the Spartan II's in almost every way. However, they were cheaper and therefore more of them could be produced.

Kind of like products now compared to, oh... the 1950's. Everything now is made of plastics (cheaper) rather than heavy metals.

^Cynical much?

SPI armor didn't increase Strength or any other physical or psychological attribute unlike the MJOLNIR which increased the Strength two fold and the reaction time five fold. Place that aside, the Spartan III's are as strong as a Spartan II without armor, in fact, Holy was able to briefly fight Kelly, whom was using her MJOLNIR Mark V armor.

On another note, Spartan III training delves more into Military focused action unlike the II's whom also had college degree education, the III's were injected with a drug that would give them enough "boost" to push themselves to the limits in high-stress situations, the bad thing about it was that it caused aggressive behavior and disobedience.

Kelly dented the SPI Armor with a punch, right?

Forgive me, but I must have missed out on the fight, because I can't remember anything else.

SPI didn't have any shielding system, and still, Holly got up moments after.

They had a small brawl where kelly twisted the S IIIs arm (no pain nor did it break) and after that she did a solar plexus (palm shove) on the SIII sending it flying back and denting the chest.

I'm pretty sure Kelly surprised Holly in that brawl, and got the jump on her, so I wouldn't judge their strength from that incident.

I would by that if she were a normal human, but she is a spartan so regardless of being surprised that wouldn't hinder her fighting.

Kelly has fair more combat experience than her, not to mention holly only fought the covenant once.

*and holly was the one spying on kelly if anything kelly was the one that should have been "surprised". the S IIIs had her surrounded.

Not at all? Because I remember reading the beginning of Onyx, and it said that the SIIIs, as they were charging, would move right through the Elites, disarming, taking and killing them with their own energy swords, and MC was hardly able to keep up with an Elite in H2H on 2 occasions (that I can recall), once in FoR on the orbital station, and the other on the flagship against that specops Elite.

Maybe the SIIIs caught them off guard or something though in GoO, and Chief was in a disadvantage in those situations because in FoR, it was in space, a vacuum, and on the flagship he had no shields, no weapon, and I think was hurt, while the Elite had an energy sword.
