Subject: The Hub.... New Group integration...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Looking at groups I thought of a new group feature that will bring more people together.

I am nick-naming it, the Hub...

Basically, The Hub will connect 5 groups together seamlessly into 1 very large group.

Each group will have it's own forum and when you click forums on the right, you can choose which group forum you want to visit.

By joining the hub group, you have joined every group. So, you can use up to 5 different group forums in 1 place. If you are banned, it can only be from the forum.

This connects groups doing similar activities on Bungie.net. Also, single groups could have 3 forums but when in a Hub, they can only have 1 forum open.

The Group founders and mods have their own forum to discuss forum rules, policies, and bans. Think of it as a mini HFCS.

what do guys think?

I see no reason for this, at all.

It is a way for a group to have multiple forums and brings similar groups (optionally) linked in 1 place.

I'm not seeing the point at all.
You could just leave the groups separate, but have links to each of the sister groups on the front page of each group.

E.g. Group A has links to Group B and Group C on it's front page, while Group B has links to Group A and Group C, etc.

Yeah. Or....... you can simply join another group and post in both groups.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

Another pointless idea, with no valid reasoning behind it. Nope.

Might as well just ask to have multiple forums for each group, no?

  • 07.21.2011 2:16 PM PDT

I am a Floodian

I like the idea. Seems like a way to bring groups together under a single roof. Maybe not even a group of shared interests, but a hub based on shared members.

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

A tad pointless, really all it would do is make switching between group forums a little quicker.

That is what i was going for.

It is a way or popular/big groups to be together.

It is also a way to have fast transitions to other group forums like main Bungie.net.

The point of groups is that they're separate from other groups/the mains. Linking them completely negates the point of a groups existence. Please offer some valid reasoning behind this idea, other than 'oh well it'll be faster'.

Or just have one big group. Maybe do mergers. That is not uncommon. Happens with clans all the time.

Yep, or like States in a government.

It is supposed to connect the people in different groups together based on similar ideals.

You are more likely to have more success with both groups actively combined as one rather than having them split apart. Combined activity > More discussion and posting > More interest in staying etc. I support the idea.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Although the idea of joining groups together is quite a good idea, it kind of renders the groups on their own redundant.
Why post in your group when you can post in the hub forum where more people are likely to read it and comment.

I think multiple forums in a group would be a better idea.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

How is this any different then just joining 5 separate groups?
