Subject: Mythic Member Batch?

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

Just wondering, but has there been a recent batch of Mythic Member nameplates handed out? It just seems as though there are quite a few more than usual.

My other hypothesis is that the regulars of Bungie.Net have left for Halo Waypoint and are only interested in the Halo franchise while the elders stick around.

Your 2nd theory is exactly correct.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Mythic isn't handed out, it is earned.

But, yeah, some times a clump of Mythics will form.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the up the amount of people who can earn Mythic? I believe it used to be like 200 or something as far as we knew.

It's all a series of tubes.

It doesn't explain the mythic though. If I remember correctly, only a certain percentage of members on B.net can be mythic, therefore, if there's less people, there should be less mythics.

Or was it only a certain number could be mythic?

It's this member generation's turn - the 07/08, Halo 3 era people.
Shows just how much the community's ageing.
It's just how it works - all that time/activity mumbojumbo, rubbing off on the member's who've been here for a similar amount of time.

The Gunman Division: Ace Gunman, xOmega Gunmanx, JT Gunman, xLost Gunmanx, (Op) Lone Gunman, Spade Gunman, Viper Gunman, Ysuran Gunman, BlindfireGunman, Angel, briskit1, dinjitsu2222, and Onobono. No idiots, please!

I'm not so sure about the batch theory, but I do know that its all about account activity and age.

I was wondering because I did remember hearing about the 200 max theory. And I was already aware of the Age and Activity playing a key role.

But yes, I do lean towards my second theory rather than my first.

According to bungie.me there are currently 308 Mythic Members.

No signature found. Click here to change this.

Trust calculations appear to happen in waves. There's a thread in one of my private groups where every member is pretty much sitting on the Legendary-Mythic boundary and twice now every single member has switched from Legendary to Mythic and back at pretty much the same time.

What you're noticing is probably some combination of your two theories.

Yeah I agree with this, I entered my fourth year here and have since become mythic.

You're most likely switching back and forth with someone with a similar trust rating.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.
Bungie's new game: Particle

If I understand your second theory, you are saying that mythics are leaving Bungie to go follow Halo. Honestly, I don't see that happening too much. Mythics change hands all the time, you may have just recently noticed newer members getting it.
