Well, with the last 2 nights in a row's incidents, i think measures to make spam drop, instead of trying to just report it for the mods to deal with. We all know the mods have better things to do than clean up some stupid spammer's work, so i have been thinking of some ways to prevent it.
First, on other forums, i have realized a method. Only being able to create 1 thread every hour or so, per IP Address, of course. This means that multiple or stupid spam forums cant be made in rapid seccession.
Next, a post limit, one per minute, or longer if Bungie sees it needed. This will elminate rapid posting, spamming, if you will.
Furthermore, this is a debatable idea, which means there are pros an cons. A link that does not contain bungie in the immediate URL(like http://www.bungie.net/images) will not be allowed. A way to get other links would be to get a mod's approval, or allow a list of websites that contain content that can bee submitted in the forums(ex. http://www.xbox.com) This will help prevent links to unappropriate sites, such as -blam!-.
These are a few ideas that i have been thinking of in my head the past day. I mean no offense and need no flaming. These are just one person's opinions on how these wonderful Bungie forums can be improved.
